Is Clawson like Michigan's Rodriguez, need his recruits to run his offense?

where are the results champ. we can't score, we can't move the ball and this saturday we will probably be held scoreless. this offense is the worst offense i can remember in 20 years. it is a form of the run and shoot, we used it in highschool. we just used alittle more motion and ran it a hell of alot more. if you think clawson should be retained you must be a bamer.

I'm sorry, I can no longer try to rationally discuss anything with you. It frustrates me too much. Blood pressure and all that.

Aside from a lack of quick throws, the fact that we use a Fullback extensively, the number of formations we use involving Tight Ends, a lack of spread out formations, not throwing to slot receivers, rarely running draw plays etc . . . you're right. It's just like the Run and Shoot.

I can tell you that Phil doesn't have a leash on Clawson. At all. The offense you see is 100% the responsibilty of Clawson.

You are Sooooo wrong it's not funny! CPF has always had his hand on any plays called. he has said that he changes 35% of the called plays. That is on the low end. It is not Clawson's fault. Look at Cutt during his first term at UT. People did not like the offense, randy Sanders was great in the NC game, but later everyone wanted him gone. Cutt came back and the same ole thing. Now Clawson is getting the same stuff.

Who is the common thread....CPF has HIS stamp on EVRY play that is run!

I think you need to go back and check that tape.

I remember listening to the radio the days after, and ALL calls were raving about the great play calling and "down the field" throws. The fans LOVED the game plan. Which ......if you understood my post...was CPF. He makes the play calls most of the time. If that was not clear, I'm sorry.

He needs to let the OC do his job (Cutt, Sanders, or Clawson). They should be able to call what they see.

Of course they did . . . we won :) but it wasn't exactly artisitic. There were about 3 or 4 big offensive plays and Dwayne Goodrich's INT return.

I'm sure CPF's has a lot of input on the offense, but I'm not sure it's any more or less than any other head coach would have.

There is very little truth in your post.
