We would be 3-0 if ......

I would think 2-1 also but the fla game would have been a much better game. The qb problem is the main reason we're not very good but there are others like our special teams and we miss alot of tackles on defense. Mayo had a chance to make a play in the backfield on fla first drive that would have made it 4th and 10 instead he doesn't and they pick up the 1st down and go on to score. The elite teams make these plays we don't most of the times and you have to beat teams like fla.Eric Berry makes plays why can't others step up and tackle like him.I was at the uab game and we missed tons of tackles also.

We wouldn't of beaten Florida. Erik Ainge doesn't play special teams - and Florida's offense was just toying with us in the second half trying to improve their run game.

I disagree about the UF toying part. They never let up a bit. They were still throwing the ball in the 4th. But you are right about the special teams part.

You have to be kidding. They quit taking shots downfield after the touchdown pass that got them to 27. Apparently, our fan base is so desperate to manufacture positives that they are just making things up at this point.

The point where I would agree with VolBeef is that the two first half turnovers by UT inside the 5 yard line could have changed the dynamic of the game.

The point where I would agree with hatvol is that they very well could have been changed it for the worse.

Just don't know.

Let me say......UT would have won that game if Peyton was throwing to Meach. No question about it Crompton has to step up. I remember when I asked the TN faithful last year about the qb situation and all I heard was how good Crompton was. I learned that potential skill is not as important as leadership, heart, and the will to compete at a very high level.

....if the band and cheerleaders had played instead? Or mostly the fat out of shape people in the stands..or...blah blah blah

Remind me again how many times Manning beat Florida.

beef, you're searching.......i get the feeling you're trying to convince yourself of something by repeating it over and over again.......regardless of whether or not it's true.

FL was up 27-0 in the 3rd quarter. they didn't do anything past that point that resembled anything close to a full on offensive attack.

Especially considering that UF didn't even pass but 15 times total out of 54 offensive plays...

They didn't need to open up the offense.

I think we could have had at least two scores because I think any QB with knowledge would have saw they had noone lined up over center and would have audibled to a sneak once they lined up and saw that on the goal line

Amen! Except that I only saw it on the goal line possession before halftime. Two plays in a row though. Inexcusable.
