Wouldn't surprise me to see a situation similar to the one at UGA w/ Smart & Tucker.

Tucker was DC / playcaller, but Smart was always right next to him and very involved with the defense.

I would say that Pruitt is going to be extremely heavily involved on the defensive side and that the DC title is what was needed to get the $$$ to get Ansley to Knoxville.....

Technically Kevin Sherrer but it really was Jeremy Pruitt.

I've read rumors like Mark Stoops might hire his brother Mike as the Kentucky defensive coordinator. Florida kept their defensive coordinator with a pay raise.

Interesting that we have 6 assistants for offense and 4 for defense. I can only assume that CJP will be #5 for defense. I am now stoked for some football! Good thing the basketball team is doing so well....More teams to cheer on!

Am I right in that he has never been defensive coordinator? I know he has a lot of talent and coached at bama and has done wonders in the secondary. Not being negavol just playing devils advocate here.... never called a college football game is CJP going to call plays until Ansley gets ahold of it after about 3-4 games? My hesitations are just he never called a game as head defensive guy????
