I caught up with him during a recent workout...he's making some progress.

Nothing interesting from the war room last night @Big Gucci Sosa @Ron Swanson @HoleInTheRoof @butchna?
Not really, just recapping NSD stuff. But Hubbs did just drop one of his cryptic posts where he posted this article and said...

Chiefs expected to add Matt House as linebackers coach

"Another SEC school looking for a coordinator? Looks like KY's DC may be leaving. Florida's Todd Grantham is on the short list for the DC job with the Bengals."

That's Hubbanese for Vols about to have a staff opening.

Unpopular opinion:
Kicking is overrated and the least interesting thing in football

Me dodging y'all's shots the rest of the day:

Except that time when Jeff Hall hit a field goal to beat Florida and stay undefeated.

Or that time that Willhoit hit a field goal a beat Florida in '04.

Or that time that Mount Cody blocked Lincoln's field goal as time expired.

The crowd never really got into those kicks...

Another true freshman that made the all-sec freshman team (2017) was Andrew Thomas (0.9791) for UGA. He apparently was not an EE but started all 15 games in '17 at RT. In 2018 he moved to LT and started 13 games. He missed the 3rd game of the year for some reason in '18 against MTSU and Georgia slid Mays out to LT from RG to start in his place for that one game.

Hope not Fair

Peterson is a talented player...
But imo he's 3rd string with the added talent.
That's fine too, because were about to lose 3 SRs. Henry T will start as a true freshman.
He's really THAT good!
Kirkland is invaluable as a football mind on the field, but his physical shortcomings were apparent. He just could not make open field tackles... He missed 7 tackles in UGA game.
Can't have that.

Pruitt will have a good mixture of youth and experience to rotate in and out. Peterson will be a part of that. He'll play a lot in 2020! But i don't see him "starting" ever. Maybe in 2021 as a RSJR beside Henry T?

He can still be a guy that has over 100 tackles by then...
Still be a guy on 3rd down that creates pressure.

Harrison
To'oto' o
Crouch are monster prospects at LB in this defense!

Then there's Ignot and Banks- who were both ahead of JJ. But...things can easily change.
Spring is going to be fun!

Don't want that either but seems he is the weak link when it comes to recruiting on the staff so would not be surprised if he goes somewhere else or off field role.
Coaches don't go from on field to off field on same team do they? Very doubtful that happens. My guess is Fair, Rumph or Rocker take a DC job elsewhere if anyone leaves.

Footballscoop:
Gerry Gdowski will be promoted to Vanderbilt’s offensive coordinator role, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.

Gdowski has been on Derek Mason’s staff for all five years of his tenure, the last three as quarterbacks coach. He was Ohio’s assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach before his 2014 arrival at Vanderbilt. Gdowski has previous coordinator experience at New Mexico State and South Dakota State.

Gdowski will replace Andy Ludwig, who left last month for the same position at Utah.

I'd be more worried that Rumph or Sherrer leaving for a DC position than Fair leaving for one.

Only say that about Fair because he is a former Vol and its been mentioned he is not really pulling his weight in the recruiting game. Could still make 6 figures off the field.

Crouch and Harrison both OLB. Banks was never ahead of JJP, and Ignont being a sophomore had better been ahead of an incoming out of shape freshman.

He redshirted because he didn’t get to participate in any winter, spring, summer workouts with a collegiate strength and conditioning program. The guy is an incredible football player who needed time to get back to football shape. What’s so hard to understand about this. Bituli, DKjr, To’oto’to, JJP and Ignont will all see time inside.

Everyone needs to stop “recruiting over” RS freshmen in their minds. Emerson and JJP will ball out

That would be very surprising. Coaches don't typically take demotions to off field role from their current employer. Can't think of one where that has ever happened, can you? They either leave voluntarily or get fired.
