The Atlanta Braves

Looks like we offered Riley
Yep... Just heard Shanks talking about this. It wasn't that they were afraid of trading a prospect. It was that they felt Realmuto's value was getting inflated and the Marlins got a little crazy. Not sure if he got that from Bowman or his own source.

Sixto and Alfaro is a great haul

The marlins guy reported Riley in the final offer

Seriously does AA expect the Braves to go all season with just Flowers & McCann at catcher? Didn't Flowers go on the DL in the first week last season?

Also fun fact combined those two had over 60 stolen bases against them last year. Combine the last three years and its 297!:confused:

Flowers threw out 13 guys while McCann only 9 last season.

As much as it would be great to get a plus bat at Catcher, I'm not a fan of spending a lot of money there. They tend to wear out.

I would hope they will carry a 3rd catcher and use BMac more as a pinch hitter.

They really have to sign another top end starter. That should be the baseline.

I understand holding on to the prospects a little bit longer to see which ones you want to keep and who becomes available at the deadline - but you have to pull the trigger eventually.

We have too many good pitchers that need MLB innings.

Don't the first sentence and last sentence contradict each other a little?

Maybe a little. But my feeling is you need a top end guy, not guys who need innings in order to find out what they really are.

You don’t have to trade all of them. Identify the handful you think are the top of the list then trade the rest.

We’ve made two ML moves and I could argue they weren’t upgrades lol.

Anybody wanna take a bet Donaldson matches Camargo’s 3.7 WAR from last year?
