This was a very good class all things considered. Unfortunately we can't compete with UGA and Bama until we put together about 3 consecutive top 10 classes. Until then, we will not get to Atlanta. Get 7+ wins this year and a top 10 class for 2020 should be a realistic goal.

In my opinion this class is better than several ranked higher. I don't care what the final ranking is, I love this class and think very few are actually better.

To be cautious - yes - although UGA may be subject to a melt down at some point in the near future. Based on the schedule I'm going 8 wins. Losses are Bama, UGA, UF and one of the other more toss up SEC games like USCJr or MS State. Just like this past season we are going to get some good help out of a handful of newcomers. Chaney has been able to incorporate true freshmen into O-lines in the past and I expect JG to take a step forward. Having Callaway, JJ and DWA back is big. The strong S&C makes the difference in the entire roster. The Mizzou and UK road games are now very winnable with the big losses on their rosters. UK is always winnable anyway. As long as CJP is HC Vandy will never beat us again.

I think the key to our improvement on offense is developing an ability to run the ball - and that starts with the offensive line. In 2018 we ranked #37 in sacks allowed, #34 in yards per pass attempt, and #74 in 3rd down conversion. We ranked #108 in yards per rush. If we can figure out how to open holes for our running backs I think it opens up our passing game which if we weren't so one-dimensional right now might already be pretty good. jmo.

Doesn’t matter the ranking, obtain a 91+ average, and DEVELOP the players. Clemson is rarely top 5, they sign quality and they develop.

They also don’t have mass exodus like GA this year. Something to liking the coaches while at TN too.

The big thing is developing the talent mentally and physically. I think hanging on to Coach Fitz was and will continue to be huge. On paper Clemson hasn't recruited on the same level as Bama, Georgia and Ohio State. They're always top 15 and devolop their guy's.

I'd think he'd have to be. I can only see us reaching 25 with a couple blueshirts, as we probably blueshirted 2 last year. We're now at 25, probably no other choice

Chip Kelly is really struggling at UCLA. They were in the mid 40s and signed one 4*. Louisville really struggled as well, down in the 70's.

If only we had gotten Briles. He don't need no stinkin stars. Alas, I think ole chaney will need a lot of talent to compete. Unfortunately im not sure we reach uga/bama level soon.

Gotta hope we can get back to relevance then hit on an explosive OC in a few years when chaney ready to retire.

What I love about this class is we had to scratch and claw to get a lot these kids. These dudes had some heavy hitters coming after them until the very end. I believe it’s more about who is recruiting the players than what they are ranked.
