I know there was some narrative post-2017 about how he and someone (Jennings?) butted heads and that the air was cleared before fall camp. How true that is, is up to opinion. It's relevant to the health of team chemistry, which translates to wins on the field, but I think the idea of the OL not blocking as hard for him as they would've for someone else is asinine. Also, Auburn last year was basically entirely on JG standing in there and delivering against a super talented front 7.
