They have had enough time already. He has been arrested and charged as such.

Either we go to trial or file for mistrial.
It was a joint motion. His lawyers agreed to it in advance. It helps them far more than the government who, as you pointed out, have had the evidence far longer.

They haven’t even started going through all the evidence against Stone yet.

Evidence recovered from Stones home and apartment: Apple iCloud accounts, email accounts, financial records, cellular phones, computers, and hard drives. The information in iCloud accounts, email accounts and on hardware “span several years.” Which equals out to several terabytes of information. 1 terabyte is about 18 million documents.
Several terabytes on info? Come on, wtf he sending youtube videos?

He is going to need more lawyers. It would help if he had a real one now.

They changed their policy after the San Bernardino shooting I guess.
The FBI unlocked the shooters phone on their own. So, if Apple would have worked with warrants for obvious criminals nobody would have had to give up any rights or privacy. As it is now, the FBI knows how to get in any iphone anytime they want.

Yea if I’m correct the FBI created their own software to jail break it. Apple sued the FBI. The comprise was that they would unlock after law enforcement got a warrant.

That publication of documents that had been shared with defense attorneys, but not made public in the ongoing case, was yet another disinformation campaign from Russia -- this time aimed at discrediting Mueller's investigation, federal prosecutors wrote in the filing Wednesday.
"Certain non-sensitive discovery materials in the defense's possession appear to have been altered and disseminated as part of a disinformation campaign aimed (apparently) at discrediting ongoing investigations into Russian interference in the U.S. political system," prosecutors wrote.

The Russians are almost as intent as the redhatters on discrediting Mueller. What is that say about politics and bedfellows?

The Russians are employing misinformation tactics and campaigns but all the info they gave Steele was 100% legit. Sure, that makes sense.
