My understanding--and maybe I'm wrong--is that Trump has these in his private capacity with WH employees. Trump is not the employer and these guys are not his employees. These are government employees. Have a hard time seeing how they'd be enforceable by Trump in his private capacity.
Tweet above says "Trump campaign." I've not paid attention to this but the book includes White House material too, right?
What consideration did the Trump campaign provide for his agreement not to disclose? His job is with the federal government, not the campaign, so it can't be his employment. Seems like a gratuitous promise, at least on the surface. And there are usually pretty strict restrictions on those doing campaign work vs. work for elected officials (for obvious reasons).
Yes, the other networks went for actual politicians. Fox went for someone who said his entire life is about “owning the libs.”
