Judge abruptly cancels ex-Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort's sentencing in Virginia case

A federal judge Monday canceled former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort’s sentencing in his Virginia case, which was scheduled for Feb. 8, according to a filing.

U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis wrote that Manafort’s “current dispute” in a separate federal case in Washington, D.C., makes it “prudent and appropriate to delay sentencing in this case.”

Mueller’s team had previously aimed to delay Manafort’s sentencing in Virginia until the special counsel determined that he had finished cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators.

So once the flop fest that is the Mueller report is issued, what’s the over/under on how long LG and EL point to the serious legal issues just scratched by this look and start demanding another Special Counsel appointment?

In a court motion, Mueller’s prosecutors asked that the indictment remain sealed so as not to “increase the risk of the defendant fleeing and destroying (or tampering with) evidence.” Stone, meanwhile, has accused the special counsel of employing “Gestapo tactics” and attempting to silence him.

However, Stone has not explicitly ruled out cutting a deal to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation, which would afford him the opportunity to reduce his prison sentence.

Legal analysts say Stone, who is 66 years old, faces anywhere between one and five years in prison, depending on whether he is alleged to have threatened physical injury to radio host Randy Credico, whom he allegedly tried to persuade against contradicting his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.

Anybody on here think that it was okay to send 27 FBI agents , with guns drawn, and 19 vehicles in a predawn raid to arrest someone that allegedly lied to Congress? Something that many have done including Clapper, Lerner, and Holder.

Was it illegal? Stone says that if it's not illegal and will harm your opponent, you'd be a fool not to do it.
So Stone himself would consider it a brilliant tactic.

I don’t know why anyone should care. He wasn’t shot. And they do this all the time. I care but no more bc it’s him all of a sudden. Did you care when Madolf got the same treatment?

carried over from the other thread - why would Trump be so pro-Russia (as alleged) if the noose was tightening and he was in serious threat of being connected to colluding with them - seems the defensive move would be to do all you good to show you aren't pro-Russia but our resident experts are convinced he's capitulating left and right. Curious.
