TrumPutinGate

No conspiracy. If there was a camera man there when the FBi jumped out they would have pushed him away in a normal operation. Why did they need 17 cars and 30 agents for Stone? Why did they need automatic weapons? Just call his attorney and ask him to come in. If he was so dangerous why knock on his door instead of ramming it open?

Yuuuugggeeeee red flag

It's just a gun. Maybe it was to scare him.

Anybody ever hear of Josh Cambell?
Im going to guess this is a no after waiting a couple hours. I'm also going to guess those who do know him isn't wanting to answer.

Josh Campbell (born August 31, 1983) is an American journalist and analyst with CNN, covering national security, crime, and justice issues. He previously served as a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation conducting national security and criminal investigations, including an assignment as Special Assistant to former FBI Director James Comey.

He is known for covering breaking news events involving national security matters, as well as analysis of developments in the ongoing Special Counsel investigation into potential ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and the government of Russia. In addition to on-air work, he regularly contributes to CNN.com, and has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and USA Today.

Campbell grew up in Texas, and received a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin. He received an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University and completed the Middlebury College Arabic language immersion program. Campbell is a term member with the Council on Foreign Relations and an officer in the Navy Reserve.

On February 2, 2018, Campbell published an op-ed in The New York Times entitled "Why I Am Leaving the FBI", which outlined his criticism of current attacks on the FBI by the Donald Trump administration and Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee.[8][12] He has remained a vocal critic of efforts to undermine the Robert Mueller Special Counsel investigation and has vocally defended the FBI from political attacks.

The bold is why CNN was sitting at an FBI raid an hour before it happened. The bold is also why he didn't get shoved 100ft back. The bold is why people were waiting on Stone and screaming "lock him up" in mass.

That is interesting and you are probably right. Helps to have connections... I guess I just don't see anything wrong with it, though. He had connections and used them. It doesn't change the facts.

It has nothing to do with connections. Well, it did, because they know each other but this "play" was put on because of the buzzfeed/Covington stories. The left looked so bad after those stories they needed something positive.

Well, you have to admit, this has been the best news day for the left in a very long time. The nickname "Captain Cave" is trending for Trump. You gotta love that.

CNN was tipped off. Come on, how is that even a discussion?

People bitching about it sound a lot like Penny Hardaway. Get caught flopping and throw a tantrum about the opposing coach.

Still, they were clearly tipped.

If CNN was tipped off, and I believe they were it had to be someone pretty high and with a great deal of knowledge of the investigation. If they wanted to make a show of this it makes me wonder if the crimes of Trump and his campaign bosses are far more egregious than even we thought. I don't know when it might come but there could be a massive roundup in the final days of the investigation. Junior, Eric and Jared may have just been sent a message.

There will be spontaneous street parties in DC when Don Jr and Jared are indicted

Well atleast we have one in here admitting it. After the last two false stories that's the only reason this was tipped to CNN. Considering the CNN law analyst and producer is a retired FBI agent that worked closely with Mueller I'm pretty sure we know who tipped them off.

I and many others have been a little baffled by why the press was tipped off. Most white collar indictees are allowed to simply turn themselves in. I first didn't believe the tip off came from or was OK'd by Mueller's office. I'm not so sure now. I'm beginning to think Mueller gave the go ahead in order to send a message to any future witnesses and possibly to those who have been or may soon be under indictment.

I don't think that at all. I will say again, it looks terrible for the FBI and CNN.

You Democrats on this board needs to stop with your tweets and your opinions of what he's guilty of or not.

The huge news here is CNN reporter Shorter standing there at 5am waiting on the 6am raid. The bigger news is that our agencies are being run on party affiliation and not by the law.

Anything to distract from the substance of what's going on, amirite?

Those of you still in denial about the nature and extent Trump campaign ties to Russia should read this. Warning: it is real reporting, factual, and may make you take your red hat off.

Trump and His Associates Had More Than 100 Contacts With Russians Before the Inauguration
😂😂😂 comedy gold. This hard hitting news is pretty damn fast and loose with what they call direct Russian contact. Plus... for any actual times they might had really met I’m sure they were talking about grandkids and such... which isn’t a crime! 🤣
