I think at least 2 of these guys are drafted off this current roster.

I don't think anyone leaves early though. But Barnes & staff have molded these guys into legit NBA prospects.

God, that Haslam article on ESPN is so telling. You all need to read it and imagine that level of terrible leadership infecting our football program. Dude consistently plays people against each other, never lands on a consistent strategy, and ultimately, thinks he knows just as much about football as the career GMs and coaches he hires. We've got to get this family away from our program.

Current roster? I’m saying 4 as many as 5 if Bowden can get more consistent

Bone, Grant, Kyle, Admiral

I work in a building where I have to use my key card for just about every door, and log on to my computer with a password several times a day. I have never even come close to thinking “boy, I sure wish I could get something implanted into my body to skip all this.”

Doubt I ever will.

I’m aware, think 3 of 4 are 2nd rounders. Grant could sneak into the 20s

Also think Bowden can make a big jump next year and if he’s a legit 6’5 will be very intriguing to teams

Haslam still has his apologist goons even on this site. They’ll poke their head up soon.

Luckily, it seems as though Jimmy is distancing himself from the Vols decision making. Fans grew wise on Schiano Sunday and I’m hoping he believes the fallout isn’t worth his time.

Grant keeps making free throws at this clip and continues expanding his range, assuming he comes back another year, and he could be drafted in the top half of the 1st round imo.

He doesn't have the confidence in his shot that some of the other VOLS do, but he has a nice shot. There just isn't anyone in college that can keep him from posting up and scoring and-ones, so he doesn't need the perimeter shot like he will in the NBA.

Punter & Hubbs not being in the league even as developmental guys tells me it's really hard.

Grant & Bone I think have the best shot. Both are very productive and have great IQs.

Admiral is a wildcard, is he big enough to be a 4? Can he shoot well enough to play the 2? Will he be able to defend a 3? Grant's interior game is better and he seems to have better length.

Kyle has the size, but hasn't been productive on a consistent basis. If he had Admiral #s he'd be a potential 1st rounder.

Bowden has another year, he has good size, a good shot, and can defend. He just needs to have a great senior year to be drafted I think.


Now, what this team has that Punter, Hubbs, & others didn't have is national attention & exposure. So I do think at least 2 get drafted, and 4-5 can make NBA rosters. NBA is just weird, Josh Richardson being a starter with Stokes & McRae unable to break in is crazy to me...McRae has been balling everywhere he's played too.

I think if Grant comes back we’ll see his range extend out to shooting the 3 with some consistency.

He’ll more than likely put his name in the draft to get feedback and that’s what they’ll want to see at his size. Like you said, his shot looks fine. He can make it (so can Kyle btw)

I love Grant, but I don't think he's a replacement for DG. Grant is a technician, not a banger. GS needs someone to smash and bang down low on defense. Grant just doesn't seem as physical to me. jmo

EDIT: Bowden is a solid one as well, that's a slip up by me, I'm not used to TN having more than 1-2 Pro prospects let alone 5-6 so it's easier for one to slip my mind.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see the comparison. Other than height/weight, I don't see many similarities at all.

I've seen some stories on it and a lot of the employees that get them are apprehensive at first but really like the convenience they provide once they have them a while. It's definitely something that could be abused but there are also a lot of benefits for the employees. Interesting development for shore though.

Green is actually taller, according to sports-reference.

Green is 6'7" & Grant is 6'5", I actually think Admiral is a closer comparison to Green.

Grant to me is more of a Barkley type. Not quite as good at rebounding though, but a better FT shooter.
