Yeah...that was 25 years ago when I was 6" and 175 and could dunk...😁

Coach K-like laser focus. Can’t play bad defense against Bama and Vandy and expect to get deep in the dance. Lesser teams should be taken care of. I hope they are just trying to work through a slump and not starting to read the papers.

And golly geez that Under looked so good earlier today. I bet a lot of people made Vegas pay with offering that -10.

The defense was really not that bad imo..That was the BB equivalent of a wishbone. Vandy will not shoot that high a percentage outside again this season. If they shot their normal percentage tonight we would have beaten them by at least 12 in regulation.

More than you want to know, but...

They used the Bama blueprint. They know we 5 position switch on D and count on a big to come down to defend the rim. So teams are moving their screen game further outside and back door cut. We are a relatively short team. If Alexander and Grant drop down to defend, that leaves the 3 open. Teams are knocking them down. The guys finally adjusted in the last few minutes and in OT by fighting through the screen by the defending big leaving room between him and the screener for the ball defender to get through. If the guy still got past him they would bring somebody from the wing to defend at the rim. Against Bama there was only one good 3 point shooter. Against Vandy, there were several.

Some teams do not have the roster to do that type O. We will roll them. This is the style we will have problems with going forward and all of the opponents know it now. The good news is so does our team and coaches so they can work harder on it. Fulk was pitiful tonight and nobody on the bench handles it well. Pons is decent at it, but is a liability on O. So Barnes has to watch his minutes.

Good analysis - Bama and Vandy showed us our weakness. Barnes is smart and so is the team. I think they’ll get it figured out.

I thought it was obvious, but I see what you are saying..
I figured you just kept going because you were in a "Super Zone." Those only happen maybe once or twice in a lifetime. A man can't stop at 21 if he's in a super zone. I got into one once playing dodgeball in middle school, what a day.

Watching the game again, it is down to the last 3:50 or so, Vanderbilt is shooting out of their mind...and it is just remarkable how this team does not look rattled at all on closer study. In real time the aggravation, frustration and apprehension among us was palpable, and I think I may have felt the team was feeling the pressure too, but watching this closely and I don't think they did at all..except for AS they were pretty much all composed.

This is a special team.

Well played by Vandy. They shot really well from 3, above their average for sure. They ate the shot clock each possession thus limited our amount of possessions. They didn’t play open, and they played to keep it close. It helped that they shot really well overall.

Schofield’s slump has to end soon, right?

Grant Williams’ shoulders are going to be tired tomorrow.

Bowden’s dunk though.
