Players vouch for Snit. Think he can lead the team, win the locker room. Need someone who can help him with advanced stats, lineups, matchups, bullpen management.
That's fine. If he gets someone to actually manage for him while he motivates the players that'll work. But keep him away from the lineup and the bullpen. Sam Freeman and Moylan in key situations in close games still give me nightmares. But Snit kept running them out there to blow the games.

Yes, Kakes is back. I have no problem if they want to move Acuna back even though he raked at leadoff. But giving Inciarte leadoff and thus more AB's than Acuna is completely ridiculous. A monkey could construct a lineup better than that.
Well ya know how much they moved Inciarte around in the lineup. Year before last he made the all star game. I’m behind on the thread....

He’s a great defender. But statistically he is our worst hitter and he can’t hit lefties. That’s not the guy you put at leadoff

Haha. I’m with ya. Bullpen made me cringe last year. Perhaps it was partly the pieces Snit was working with?? I hangout on Talking Chop and those guys are uber stats nerds, and quite brutal sometimes.

May start at lead off or second, but will settle at 6 or 7 depending on the lineup, probably. Could put him later if you want a second “lead off” at the end of the lineup.

I do as well and my excitement is lessening for the upcoming season at a rapid pace
Nick Markakis will make a not-so-much-anticipated return to the Braves

Well. It’ll be okay as long as he doesn’t try to play in every gam, imo. All star at the break then faded as he played in every game. Rather have him than an overpriced fa. Pache and Waters will both be ready next year. Maybe. Plus, Riley could see some time in RF??

EDIT: Riley in LF, maybe?

Have some wvu friends driving up from ATL Saturday for the bb game? What are some good bars on the strip for them to hang out at before and after the game? They asked me, but It’s been a minute since I’ve been on the strip, idk what’s going on there anymore.

Not exactly a hot take there. We've lost 5 straight.

Yes, I keep track of the results, it was in response to someone thinking we had a chance at beating ND, but it's ok, I'm glad you were there to inform me of the current loss streak, I'd be lost without you.

He's the worst... I watched Inciarte be a below average hitter all season and terrible at leadoff when he played there. I watched Acuna rake and win ROY from the leadoff spot and literally carry the team in September. But yes, lets put Inciarte at the top of the lineup. Heck, if you want Acuna at cleanup, bat Ozzie at leadoff! Snitker is awful

Inciarte was great leading off in 17. Had a rough 18 till after all star break. He can hit .300 and .360 lead off and will be fine. I would go Inciarte oz donelson freeman acuna mark flowers Dansby. Speed up top then 3,4,5 and till end you don’t have righty or lefties back to back. Acuna and donelson could switch at 3 and 5 and marky doesn’t start against tough lefties and Duvall has to make a difference. You could go Dansby in flowers spot and McCann 8th. Will come down to good starting pitching. Still need a close out closer. The O will score runs. What speed with inciarte oz and acuna

Not a bad take. Fact. Apparently you didn't pay attention. His management of the bullpen was awful. He tried desperately to keep Inciarte in the leadoff spot even though he's terrible. And now, a season after Acuna dominated at leadoff and wants to stay there, he wants to put Inciarte back in the leadoff spot. You can spin this to argue like you always do, but facts are facts.

Best power hitter lead off. Yeah of course.

Bass,

Is your stance that you want a 30 plus HR guy in the lead off spot as opposed to being in the cleanup spot?
I think you know what my stance is. I’ve stated it multiple times. My stance is I don’t want our worst hitter batting leadoff and getting more AB’s than our best hitter. I know, that’s such a crazy take
