I agree. Ron’s update sounds better. I’ll be curious to see him in the spring. Hopefully that gut is gone! This kid is a killer, a heat seeking middle at LB. we need him to be ready to go.

Agreed. Showing up out of shape was concerning. But JJP is young enough that he can easily transform his body with the correct nutrition and dedication to his strength and conditioning regime. If he's being lazy about the food that he eats, or isn't giving 100% during off season conditioning, that's totally on the athlete and is justifiably concerning. He'll have the entire off-season to get dialed into his defensive schemes and assignments, and hopefully work his way up the depth chart and get some meaningful reps this season.

Also, I'm really curious who Pruitt and co. have JJP working with during off-season workouts. This would be a great opportunity to get him with an established upperclassman who demonstrates what it means to execute at the highest level, be it workouts or gameday.

Simonton on possible Position Changes:

- Bumphus to DL
- Sean Brown stays at TE
- Aaron Beasley at Safety
- Banks stays at LB
- Page moves to DB (assuming safety)
- Maleik Gray is still position-less
- Fant back to RB
Was Fant not at RB during most of the 2018 season? Hopefully he can make some sort of contribution as a short yardage back at least in 2019. If not, I doubt we see him in orange much longer. Feel the same about Page and Gray. Maybe those 3 can at least play STs at a high enough level to make sure our starters don’t have to play too much on ST.

Also holding out hope for Bumphus on the DL. Him coming on there in the spring would be big for us. Quality of depth on the DL is a huge unknown for us heading into 2019 and might turn out to be a big concern if we don’t have 3-4 guys take big steps forward this spring.

You lost d ass to a an inferior team for the 5th game in a row. Sounds more like a pillow fight and you just need to go as soon as they can or this mess could get to be a really big mess. She has been a steady decline ever since the beginning. Longer she stays the deeper the hole to try to get out look at football what all those crap hires has done.

Heads up guys, 247 dropping their rankings at noon on video. Expect some jumps for TN? Who do you think jumps? 5 stars today, rest tomorrow
Darnell will be a 5 star on 247 after today I imagine. I think they might bump Gray after his performance at the Army game. No idea about anyone else.

Hope Banks goes back to RB this spring. Just needs to work on ball control and the more practice he gets, the better he'll be.

Agree 100%. I believe he will have the potential for much more of an impact and playing time long term at RB.

With the way Pruitt is recruiting LB, I do not believe Banks will ever be more than a rotational player there.

I like him at RB too, but it’s smarter to withhold judgment on this.

RB is a position where you’ve either got it or you don’t, so there’s not too much at stake leaving him at LB for the spring and seeing what he can give us there.
Yeah, if it’s true that he totally elevated the LB group his first day over there then he should be given time there first.

247 adding transfers to their rankings, and will have an additional column in the team rankings for signees + transfers as well, along with crystal ball predictions.

Gonna be interesting to see where we land with Solomon/Gibbs.

If they count transfers, AU is #1 each year.

Not sure what you mean by “true learning disabilities,” but I knew a girl who had dyslexia in college. She got extra time to take tests, but other than that, she had a completely normal experience. Graduated with a degree in education, and is a phenomenal 4th grade teacher.

I have daughter that gets extra time to take test as well due to dyslexia. She is just about to graduate and become a medical doctor. She only has a couple of more classes and a couple of boards to finish. Extremely PROUD OF HER AND HOW HARD SHE HAS TO WORK to accomplish this degree. So for the poster who worries about students “ with true learning disabilities” being allowed in school I would like to say HELLO for my daughter.

JJ Peterson, Jaquon Blakely (sp?), and Shawn Shamberger all came out of Colquitt Co. and all at times have been tagged for having work ethic issues. I hope that's not a pattern coming out of that program.

Outside of Blakely I noticed the trend a sign if they expected favoritism from probst boy. Blakely I haven't heard of any work ethic issues. His has been more finding him a spot like Gray.
