Ok guys question: With equal talent levels who is the better coach Mullen or Kirby?

I'm honestly not impressed with Kirby. When I said that last year people thought I was crazy but I think more people are realizing that while he's a great recruiter he's just not an elite coach. He may get better but right now he's cost his teams as much as he's helped them.

Mullen, OTOH, has done more with less. I don't know what his ceiling is but he's a far better coach than Kirby, especially on pure Xs and Os.

It's why several teams reaching for mcvay/klingsbury offense probably regret it after a few yrs. NFL defenses always eventually catch on. This is 2nd time these two teams are playing and they have talent on defense. It's showing as they know each other better.

Not sure if pats/Chiefs would be same outcome though as their defenses don't have as good of players as in the saints/rams game
