Yea don’t get me wrong he’s a good role player and I’m glad he’s on our team, but like the announcers were saying before the game, it’s like we have 7 starters with Turner and bowden coming off the bench. If one of our Guards got hurt down the stretch we’d be fine, if Williams/Alexander does we’d be in trouble (like last year)Fulk does the gritty stuff that goes unnoticed to most fans. Makes mistakes but also always in position
So happy to hear you were able to have another baby. Of course it will never replace the one you lost, but I'm sure this one will bring your family much joy. I noticed you said because of placenta detachment, and you were told there was no underlying cause. Just thought I would let you know about my family's history in case you needed the information in the future. My mom had 6 miscarriages and my sister 3 plus others in the family. I fortunately didn't have any, but after other health issues it was discovered that I have the MTHFR gene mutation which they have recently discovered causes the placenta to separate. Many doctors do not know much if anything about it yet although a there are a few in Chattanooga who do treat women for it during pregnancy now, and my daughter was able to go to one last year. Fortunately she didn't have any problems, but another friend who goes to the same doctor and had a miscarriage before is taking shots during this pregnancy and having good results so far. Thought I would let you know in case other issues arise for your wife or others in her family. My wife and I had a very similar situation 3 years ago. We lost our baby boy on Jan 11, 2016 at 23 weeks to stillbirth due to placental detachment. I’ve lost friends and relatives over the years, but the pain of that loss was by far the worst I’ve experienced. We still have a hutch in the living room we dedicate to his urn, pitcures, foot and hand molds, teddy bear we had made for him, etc. Our 6 year old still has crying spells because he misses the brother he never met.
We were terrified to try again after seeing multiple specialists and being told there was no clear underlying cause for the detachment, basically just a lightning strike. What was to prevent lightning from striking twice? Fast forward to today and we have a healthy, happy 16 month old that I’m currently carrying around hugging while typing this.
I’m not a support group kind of guy, I’m much better at dealing with things internally. My wife, however, found a ton of comfort in online support groups (mostly through FB). There are so many people out there that have been through similar tragedies, never feel like you’re alone and never be afraid to share your story. It’s a part of the healing process, and for many people it’s a vital one.
It was an IMPOSSIBLE situation; because, the thing is, how many coaches in this country would absolutely kill for Holly's resume as HC? It's not like her resume is bad...it's pretty damn good, actually; it's just not Lady Vols.I think she steps down as well. I believe the pressure of replacing Pat has been too much for her.
