Over the past three years we've had a staff full of MAC and SEC coaches. When every offensive lineman is healthy Drew Richmond has either started at left tackle or right tackle. I'm not discounting that you're some sort of offensive line savant who can evaluate players just by watching them on TV. I'm just saying it's not likely. I'm also saying that it's not likely that with a team with 20 offensive lineman on the roster who were 3 and 4 stars out of highschool and SEC/MAC coaches would continually trot out the same "horrible" player over and over again 23 times over the course of three years to allow him to start at the position. Perhaps the problem is just calibration here. I see mediocre and you see horrible. Of course, hyperbole is sort of your thing.
He has been horrible...just less horrible than the other guys behind him that came in 70lbs underweight or severly injured..

Getting Richmond back, as far as the impact for next year, would be immeasurably greater than having another 4-star OL jump on board late in the process.
For the record...I want Richmond to return and actually realize his potential and play better. That would be great. I think he has the talent..

Thanks for posting. I lost my son a week ago today (on my birthday). He was 17 weeks in the womb but very much alive to my wife and me. We were able to hold his tiny body knowing he would never experience the life we know. He’s really the lucky one. He’s safe now tucked tight in the arms of God.

Sorry man. So sorry.

Praying for you and your wife. We grieve with one breath and rejoice with next that he is indeed with his Creator.

If frozen ground beef is accidentally left out on the countertop to thaw on a night that you end up going out to eat, how do you brown it while making sure that it doesn't dry out too much to eat over the next couple of days?

...asking for a friend.
No great solution. Add it to a liquid or sauce you plan on using and finish the whole recipe later

God bless you and your family, G. Stay strong, brother.

Meh

I am sure the SEC worked with Tenn with that self imposed penalty. Tenn was the one making that call imo

I'm sure they did but they wouldn't have handed that penalty out to anyone else. 30 seconds of telling two linemen to clean this or that up shouldn't constitute 5 days of skipping practice. It's not that big of a deal except in terms of how another AD would've been treated for the same infraction (for example, I highly doubt Bill Battle would've gotten that much when he was Bama's AD despite also being a former coach -- Fulmer is a legend and they're going to treat him differently both for good and ill).

Damn, man. Hate to hear that. That really hits close to home for me as my wife is 18 weeks pregnant. I can't imagine and wish you and your wife both healing and peace.

Someone here posted Ainge talking about how great it was seeing Fulmer coaching up the line. That was a day that were at the indoor facility.
Just like with whoever posted the video of Fulmer at outdoor practice, better we just take the hand slap than let the NCAA anywhere around "our media".

Wish they had the University's best interest in mind. You know, like seems to be the case at most other places.
So many of our guys just suck.

Tennessee safeties coach Charles Kelly has an offer to join Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama. We are told Kelly will be in Tuscaloosa on Saturday to meet with Saban and work over the final details before making his final decision.

Interestingly Kelly and John Lily were huge in special teams for Tennessee so I’m not sure how those units would be handled going forward if he does leave.

Yep. We're great at shooting ourselves in the foot.

I remember when it happened, rival fans raised hell because well, Fulmer. They made it out that he was coaching the entire time which is likely what the SEC office responded to.

Your welcome. Debated on posting it but I figured someone could use it.

Prayers to you and your family

Most of the hate he gets is still unnecessary lol. Heck, someone said we lost 2 games solely because of him😂 People beat it into the ground “good we didn’t need him” “he may compete at Memphis... maybe” it’s ridiculous. Fans are so quick to bash players and once the bashing starts it never ends

But don’t you dare question anything about a first year coach, he gets a pass
Ever think about going professional with this victim thing?

Sometimes, as fans, we overstep the bounds of criticism into becoming insulting. Not living up to our expectations does not make any of these young men horrible people. Maybe bad football players, but not bad people. It's easy to get carried away with rhetoric.

We have tunnel vision and don't have much insight into the day to day. That gives us a pretty myopic view of things and as emotional as we get when it comes to our team we do tend to want to blame someone. I think we're kinder to coaches when we know we're stuck with them at least for x amount of time but with players we see this or that guy behind him and so think the next guy can be a quick fix.

We should be a bit more measured given that these are young men who are only now approaching adulthood but then we're fans and there's nothing sane about fandom.
