Was 6 years when I lost my father on 11/3. I was bow hunting that day, following play by play of Dooley taking the Vols to 3 ots with Troy!! I was so pissed and happy that we won that game. All that was lost within seconds and everything became an afterthought.
I was 34 at the time, the same age my father was when I was born. He was a **** kickin cowboy from back in the day, business owner, and guy that came from nothing and made a great living. He died suddenly, was sick, no warnings, just died. He got to meet his grandsons and granddaughter, my sons were very young tho.
A lot of truth to that video! We share stories with our boys about him, have pics of them and him, and he lives on thru our memories!

Firing her isn't tossing her away like trash. It's the alternative to letting her continue as coach. She can't do the job, and she's had a most generous chance to try. Players get cut. Coaches get fired. Sports is like that, and everyone involved knows it.

She's had a long time to see that, and plenty of time to step aside with grace. She hasn't, so the school has to move her out. It's unfortunate, but how much longer does anyone want to watch more of the same from the LVs?

Her stint as head coach has not worked out given the high standard set previously by Pat. But she has not been an abject failure and there should be no question of her heart or her intentions. It hurts her much more than it hurts us that she can’t seem to right the ship.

She does deserve our respect to a point but she loses good will with every demoralizing defeat. Since she helped build it should she be allowed to destroy it? It's a delicate situation no doubt.

The best thing would be for her to resign and be able to stay connected to the program in some capacity. She's earned that much. I'm sure she hates to see this happening as much as we do, but you've got to know when its time for a change. Do what's best for the girls and the university.

It’s obvious a change has to be made. Phil knows that it’s been trending this way. The last two weeks have been really bad. But I’m not sure she’s “destroying” anything. The Lady Vol brand will stand through a tough two weeks, two months, two years, etc.

The best thing we can do as fans (and as people who give money to the athletic department) is to show support and let decision makers like Phil do their jobs.

The more “we” rip Holly publicly, the worse this gets.

Pulling for KC this weekend, but hoping for a Black & Gold Super Bowl. Would be awesome if two guys from the '17 class ended up with rings in back to back years.

As we've seen with football the.further you get from relevancy, the more difficult it becomes to regain it. So, in that regard, she is destroying it. Most here don't remember a time when LaTech or Old dominion were power programs. They were never able to regain it. Most recruits don't remember when Tennessee football as great, because they weren't born. In just a few more years, people will have forgotten Pat's influence on this sport. So as time goes on and the lady Vols continue to slip further into mediocrity, the Lady Vols become more and more of an afterthought. So, yes, Holly is destroying what she help build. With each and every pathetic, poorly coached game she is disassembling it. With each and every fan that doesn't care anymore, she's tearing it apart.

The program is still in good enough shape where a quality coach could come in and have success immediately. But that window probably closes after next season.
