That's not true, AT ALL. News flash, man...not everyone wants to play for Saban. DWA chose to play for Pruitt over playing for Saban...Darnell Wright is going to choose to play for Pruitt over playing for Saban. I'm sure that Wanya Morris could have played for Saban if he wanted to, he didn't. Same goes for Quavaris Crouch. With Morris and Crouch, they decided early that they did not want to play for Saban, and would rather play for Pruitt. Your argument doesn't hold water, my friend. If the head coach is all the matters we never ever ever beat Saban.
That's why there are always other factors that hopefully allow us to beat him occasionally.
No. I've said before he had a really good 2nd half against a good Georgia team but that's about all you can really reference when claiming he made all these great improvements this year. Hard to really take much out of the rest of the year cause it was all garbage time stats. Was the 2nd half against GA garbage time?
Yea, College of Charleston was probably their worst loss and honestly they had great chances to beat Texas Tech and LSU. They have had a couple close calls to bad teams lately, and he has shown average coaching acumen so far. Nothing I've been overly impressed with. We will see if he starts to out-coach some veteran guys because he hasn't done that yet.Hopefully they go on a bad streak. I really thought he'd be losing games he shouldn't
When did he tell him that? Not arguing......just curious to know the details
I totally agree. I'm a big fan of Hurts and hope he succeeds. I just don't think he's that good in the passing game and I think picking OK was maybe a mistake cause IMO he's probably gonna get beat out by Rattler by the end of the season. I'm sure Riley can gameplan for him but I think him starting at qb for them limits OU's offense considerably.Hurts handled a near impossible situation with class and faith. I hope he succeeds at Oklahoma. I still remember him destroying us.

Point is...Nieds could have the greatest relationship in the world with a recruit; but, if that recruit doesn't like Pruitt, or doesn't want to play for Pruitt, it doesn't make a bit of difference in the world how strong of a bond Nieds and recruit has.
Been trying to tell folks all along Weinke wasn’t leaving...unless it was for a MUCH better deal somewhere else...and Ill be honest. He is a fantastic recruiter despite the black and white view. Additionally he’s a heck of a coach.Per a VQ poster who works in AD... coach Kelly is leaving and has been pulled off the road recruiting today, should be official soon. Johnson is likely to go to LSU. Pruitt really likes Weinke, he doubts he leaves.

They have more talent than most teams in their league. They will have even better talent next year even though they lose several seniors. As long as you have the best talent in the AAC, you will win more than you lose.
With Kelly leaving do you see Nieds shifting coaching positions and a Lilly or Osovet promotion?Been trying to tell folks all along Weinke wasn’t leaving...unless it was for a MUCH better deal somewhere else...and Ill be honest. Yes Kelly is headeding out the door I heard as well.
