none of htis makes any sense anymore. you really gotta do a good job of evaluating kids (and their families) from now on. some are proving to be mental midgets in my mind, when it comes to competition level, or their ability to be "sold" by staffs that are full at certain spots.

everyone says the right things during the pitch. but when it comes down to brass tacs you find out what everyone is made of.

fact is, Fields should have never gone to UGA. competition or not, if you're THAT good, and the guy that's there is THAT good, there's only 1 football. something's gotta give. Martell's transfer is even weirder in that the incumbent is leaving. you're next. the transfer guy has to sit a year, so you have at least that year to put yourself waaay ahead. but what happens there? don't even try, quit before you start.

no different than when STewart and Manning both signed at TN. even waaay back then, we knew there was no way both qb's were going to stay. one was going to leave. i don't know how many more examples these prospects need to see before they wise up. you have the QB transitions that took place in the Big 12 between OU, TT, Baylor etc...the aTm QB trials and tribulations, now GA, OSU...we've seen it at BAma......and now twice at GA.

these blue chip QB's need start paying attention. the only time in their lives they're going to have the leverage is as a HS prospect. they have ALL the decision making ability and it seems more regularly than not, they make bad decisions.

One thing that throws a wrench into this is the fact that a lot of them believe they are competitors...which is true, but only when they are playing and competing against the other team. When they don't get handed the job right off the bat then they chose not to compete. This isn't every situation, but this isn't abnormal to see anymore.

Price just said on Swains show that Texas is kicking the tires on bringing in Drew Richmond

Richmond is in for a rude awakening if he thinks life will get easier if he transfers to Texas. Herman is a hardass who is trying to build a tougher culture there and will demand buy in just as much as Pruitt has. They had luck with a grad transfer from Rice last year that played well for them, but I think if they do their homework on Richmond they’ll move on. Maybe Herb Hand can finally turn the light on for him, but I’m skeptical.

Man...all Penny has done since Shaq left Orlando is made me dislike him more and more. Like hell man you're not going to turn people on Barnes, he's been in the business for over 3 decades.

Focus on the AAC and getting better. Why is ESPN giving this guy air time anyway, Memphis isn't even ranked.

It's drama. It's all they do anymore.

I would. By this logic everyone at Bama except the incoming freshmen can transfer out and play immediately. That would completely while out the program. Phillips, Tuttle, Jennings, JG, Taylor should have all transferee and been eligible to play anywhere. Everyone at Miami should be able to go anywhere. One entitled player doesn’t get to bend the rules because everything goes differently than his little pipe dream. It is no different than Irban going to the NFL. Coaches leave. All the time. That is the dumbest argument he can make.

Bama didn't lose head coach so no. Miami yes because richt was another shocker. TN yes because we were a cluster unfair to future of kids. These are normal leaving circumstances. If a coach just leaves for another job then no. If a coach is fired or randomly retires out of nowhere then yes I think kids should have options. It's up to new coach to keep them like Diaz is doing at amiami. He is getting all those transfers to come back

Saw some stuff floating around twitter this morning about Tee's title being recruiting coordinator and QB coach. Just twitter rumors but has anybody heard anything on an official title? I thought WR coach with Chaney coaching QB's would be the most likely scenario for Tee. Might be waiting to announce his title after the other staff changes are made.

Wait a damn second... Dual threat Martell transferring to Miami where Enos is the new OC?

I thought he only ran a boring 1970’s ancient offense 🤔

Per a VQ poster who works in AD... coach Kelly is leaving and has been pulled off the road recruiting today, should be official soon. Johnson is likely to go to LSU. Pruitt really likes Weinke, he doubts he leaves.
All of that makes some sense. Kelly getting a promotion, Johnson going home and despite what a lot of people assume, Pruitt likes Weinke. Okay that last part came out wrong. Pruitt wants to hold onto Weinke. Never mind. I give up.

I would think Chaney will be heavily involved with the QBs no matter his official title
