I knew there was no way Fulmer was going to sit back and let Pruitt twist in the wind. Going 5-7 this season may have been a blessing in disguise. Fulmer and Pruitt could point to the wins over UK and Auburn and then ask TPTB if they were satisfied with two decent wins every year or if they wanted more.

Please let it be Pittman
Would be awesome. I know ATLVol said not happening but I've seen multiple people on VQ and 247 over the last week say they've heard it's likely to happen. Would be a monster splash with recruiting and an even bigger FU to Kirby if Fulmer and Pruitt stole Chaney AND Pittman. REALLY hoping they pull that off.

Did we already laugh at this yet?

TVA can’t supply enough power to keep dawg board open if THIS happens....

There is a poster on another site I am on that thinks Pittman is in play, too.

Would be unbelievable.

I just love how far we've come from the OC search when a heavy number of Tennessee fans were pushing the completely fabricated narrative of "nobody wants to work for Pruitt."

Neidermeyer has turned down money and distance to family for this job.
Chaney left a much more stable situation.
Tee is coming back over a handful of other opportunities.

If somehow Pittman were to come and with Tee already here I’d feel confident in saying we would have a really good shot at 8 wins

He also said Chaney wasnt coming. No knock to ATLvol, these things are fluid.

But Pitt is still an option until he either takes another job or an official statement comes out that he has received a hefty raise and extension to stay at UGA.

He and Chaney are tight, Friend is willing to shift responsibilities to bring Pitt on board. I hope it happens.

I think Weinke and Johnson will leave. I hope Kelly stays.

Weinke leaves and Nieds moves to RB’s. Johnson leaves and Tee coaches receivers. Pittman comes and he coaches OL and Friend coaches TE’s.

We look down on the rest of college football and throw our heads back and laugh

The skinny: Thompson was initially committed to South Carolina, but due to academic issues was asked to hold off on signing his National Letter of Intent. Eventually the Gamecocks decided to cut ties, opening the door for both Tennessee and Marshall. Many assumed that Thompson would end up taking the JUCO route, but he surprised many by signing with the Vols in late May. While he was the last addition to the class of 2018 for the Vols, he was the most productive with 32 tackles, four tackles for a loss, three interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and four pass break-ups.
Farrell’s take: We had Thompson as a four-star athlete and Rivals250 member because he could excel on either side of the ball. On defense, Thompson had good size, was very strong and filled out, and had excellent instincts so it’s no surprise to see him impact early.

Mike "The dumbazz" Farrell top 15 freshman

Someone on VQ referred to Amari Rodgers tweet and said he should graduate early and come play for his dad in Knoxville. Austin Price replied, "you know that's not out of the equation".
Amari could want to come home to Knoxville. He’s not playing as much at Clemson as he did as a freshman.
