I like Treasure Coast. We're 5th generation Volusia Countiers. Honestly i like the vibes better than Gulf. NSB is easy going, hippie town. Lots of National Seashore\National Park. Small town feel, surfing, fishing, Kayaking. only thing about gulf is tarpon run/variety of bait close to shore.

Also NSB has history. There's legislation to mark Turtle Mound as oldest civizaltion in US, predating Augustine. I know my opinion isnt shared by many. But theres a reason Orlandites vacation in NSB. heck im glad the Gulf pulls people away.

NSB? Just curious. Sounds interesting.

Check out the arrogance of Texas fans. They have 1 good season and the smack talk is back lol

They aren't lying but Colorado and Fresno might not be pushovers by 2020. Tedford doing well at Fresno. Tucker will have Colorado playing mean defense like Leavitt had them at some point but maybe not that early.

True but Texas isn’t playing a “gauntlet” either in 2020. Their non conference games are USF, LSU, and UTEP so 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yeah, I’m real happy with Chaney but the idea that Sark would have been a bad hire just seemed wrong to me. Seems like an odd choice for Chip Long to leave the OC position at ND to take a subordinate role at Bama however. I guess he’s thinking he can parlay it into a HC position in 3 years.
Sark more than likely will only be there a year MAYBE 2. But I agree. Chip Long could have made a lateral move somewhere unless he’s going to actually be the OC.

football scoop

Greg Schiano: This morning multiple NFL reporters have mentioned the Patriots as a likely landing spot for Schiano.

This is why Chaney is perfect. Seasoned vet of the SEC notwithstanding, he’s in it for the long haul. Pruitt needs that assurance.

Agree Sark is at best a two year guy, very likely one and done. Long maybe thinking that Saban can’t last much longer and wants to be the next Ryan Day. IDK, I would be real hesitant to follow such a legend right after he leaves, just ask Ray Perkins.

Iirc, there was talk of him landing with the Patriots years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up there, but I would be surprised if it’s as DC though.

Agree with a lot you say but not this time as far as making these guys last year an effective unit. Just too small.
I never said effective. Making that unit effective would definitely be asking too much. Too small and not strong enough.

Bet being effective and not blowing assignments aren’t exactly the same thing. You don’t have to be big or strong to know your assignment and not let a defender through untouched. Even our guys like Smith (who definitely wasn’t lacking in the size/strength department) struggled with just knowing who to block a way too often.

Doug Mathews on Big Orange Sunday just spent the 1st segment talking about the Chaney hire and made it clear that Chaney, Fulmer and Pruitt had been having conversations for months and Chaney expressed to them his desire to get back to east TN and that set things in motion thus the no rush til all details and contract got worked out. Bill Justice on now and he said the chomp was deserved and he didn't have a problem with it.

Are we having discussion if doing the gator chomp after beating UF is OK or not? Appropriate or not? I don't think they did it long enough. lol So if this game was in Knoxville and they upset UT they would have gator chomped all over UT's court. So I don't understand what's the big deal and people giving their ok to UT doing it. We have have to put up with it at Neyland when they beat us so what's the big deal now. I am just glad we got the chance to return the favor. LOL

I love NSB. Been going there almost every year since 1983, missing maybe 3 years. Saw the place grow up. Love the restaurants.

Sarkisian to Bama makes sense, and I’ve always felt that he’s a minimum 3 year guy at his next stop unless he totally flops. Chip Long to Bama as co-OC or anything less than full OC makes zero sense to me.

I was impressed with the class way BB left Arkansas after being fired. I wish him well.

Got fired AFTER the last game of the season, tho. He was on his way to the after game PC iirc, so he had the platform. He had known it was coming.

Exactly. Same thing with Texas/Oklahoma. It doesn't hurt anybody but feelings when they do upside down hookem which is same feeling OK fans have when seeing the hook em. It's part of college rivalries to poke fun at the other school after winning. Same thing with the cigars we have to watch Bama smoke every year.
Unless the low paid intern analyst who recruited the players they beat smokes one. I don't usually have a problem with any of the rival stuff, but that was low class, IMO.

Slightly off topic, but I did my Ph.D. at CU and I really wish we could find a way to do a home-and-home with them so our fans could have a reason to get out to Boulder. Beautiful campus and stadium.
