it's just how bad they want to go to LSU....that's all. not sure why y'all don't get that....

lol.

Maybe he meant 2 stars that are underrated that should be 4 star talent walking on but actual 4 star ranked player s don't walk on unless there are major red flags or the busted somewhere else. He is prob drunk though because he said their commit ray Parker sucks as TE/DL/OT so not sure why is he even committed to them or a top 250 player if he sucks so bad lol

Yep..Will Friend, a very respected, and very well established OL coach...forgot how to coach OL..just because...

If it's a question, it's a f'n dumn one...
To be fair, McGill, you made these same types of comments when people questioned Butch’s staff. And made similar defenses in 2018 of an OC who clearly was struggling and Pruitt wanted to replace.

Being skeptical of a coach based on performances we’ve seen isn’t unfair.

As for the OL, I kind of lean towards the explanation that a combination of lack of talent, inexperience, lack of depth, scheme asking too much of them, and some amount of dysfunction in the offensive staff is the most likely reason for the struggles we saw last year. But there’s no way to know for sure, really. We just know they were bad in basically every facet of the game.

If we can’t see them take a big step forward this year (at least in the knowing your assignment department), that will be a really big red flag that we’re not getting enough From Friend. Jury is still out though and he does have a very good resume to give hope that that won’t be the case.

"Although, not really the case with this guy. Schools are about to start using the transfer/walk-ons as another tool to load up, as they won't be counted towards the 25 limit if done correctly. LSU just got Michael Williams to walk-on, he was a high 3-star/low 4-star with Texas. LSU is trying to get 1-2 more transfers/walk-ons and they are 4+ star type guys to pay their own way from other schools."

247 sports has no recruits listed with the name Michael Williams so i don't what this LSU guy is talking about.

yeah, i think that's the key right there, if you are in the right spot assignment wise and just get beat b/c the other guy is better, that's one thing.

if you're still not sure where you're suppposed to be, that's another.

the good news is, i think if this group, plus the new guys, can at least get better on the mental side of things, that could/should/would at least maybe resolve some of the "disaster" type plays we saw last year, where JG gets blown up and creates turnovers.

that in and of itself would be an improvement. just don't have the disaster scenario play out becuase you don't know what to do, or not do, as the case may be.

Here’s today’s random question. What percentage of people on Volnation actually know each other or have at least met? Would you say less than 5%? Just curious... I find it amazing how you begin thinking you know someone because you’ve posted in a forum with them for years yet have never met in person. Until recently, how many of us knew (didn’t care either way) that @HankHill was black? Lol. Or which posters are women or even the ages. I’ll admit, many of your names creates the image I think about when you post. I think of @Ulysees E. McGill as a grouchy old guy, @Ron Swanson as well, Ron Swanson and so on. Anyway, carry on. 👊🏼

What makes you think we’re real people? 🤯

Anyone who answered Pigeon or French Broad on the river, I’m sure we know each other. But to answer your question, probably 20-30% know each other or of each other or know family/friends of each other.
