Pruitt needs to hire an OC. Guy must have a big issue with control.
Hey Coach, just hire somebody. Anybody. :(
If you were the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, who you want to make as absolutely sure as possible you were hiring the right guy to be your CFO or COO? Someone you actually meshed with and had the same vision as you.
And yes.......CJP should have an issue with control. He runs the program and his butt is on the line! I love the fact he's waiting until he finds what he wants and doesn't give a tiny rats arse what VN thinks.

He’s a new head coach that wants to stay in control. I think this is the problem. Getting an OC to come in who can’t bring his people eliminates many takers.

If I’m the head coach, and it’s my rear that’ll be fired, you can rest assured that I’d maintain control. The new OC is not the head coach, Jeremy Pruitt is.

Any CEO worth his salt operates that way on key hires. You delegate TOO much and you’re out of a job.

He’s had plenty of time and passed on a bunch of good people. I don’t think he’s waiting. I think it will be difficult to hire an OC who can’t run his offense. If Friend is the guy and you will be pissed!

Phil took that take and Clawson got him canned. He ran Phil’s offense not Dave’s

This is from someone who has obviously been in charge of something at some point in time. It shows. Unfortunately, that won’t matter to some of the geniuses on here.

Chris Low mentioned Tee this morning as a potential co-oc/position coach. I would like him as a wr coach. Low thinks an announcement within a week. But who knows at this point.
Heck our best coach is coaching wr and you want to replace him with a failed uscw coach. Tee is suppose to be a good recruiter but who knows.

Pretty much.

This has been addressed by LWS as well, Fulmer sometimes butted heads with Chavis and Cut. How many times have we seen Saban chew a coordinator's ass on the sidelines? Head coaches have input into everything, hiring the right person just minimizes the micromanaging.

I'm not sure he passed on Yurchich (sp). He very well just decided to take a better job.

At this point, you can’t really believe this?
Oh I absolutely believe we've had some people say no and have some obstacles to get someone hired.

Mostly though we've seen Pruitt go after mostly established and proven coaches, we havent seen a whole lot of google coaches. Butch wouldve had someone hired by now; does that mean he's a better coach or simply willing to compromise?

Please, provide the evidence to back up your frivolity towards my comment. What has Tee done AS AN OC to point he is better than any of the other 5,000,000 candidates mentioned in one mindless article/tweet/post or another so far.

David Johnson has done a pretty good job with the WRs.

It wasn't a knock on our current wr coach. I was just thinking of a spot that would work for Tee. I don't feel comfortable with him as oc. But if he had the co-oc title to satisfy his ego and put him in a position role where he could be effective and go recruit, then it would be nice to have him back in Knoxville.

The tweet was about Monken (as well as the thread)
