I disagree and it has nothing to do with conference loyalty. It's stone cold logic. Bama winning doesn't effect us one way or the other but Clemson winning does. They've already become a thorn in our recruiting and we don't need them gaining anymore momentum. Our campuses are too damned close to one another to want a new blood having too much success.

It's not necessarily true. We recruit against both of them and we play Bama every year.

Several players on that team would've never considered Clemson over us were it not for their recent success. Them winning adds even more reasons for players to pass on us. BAMA takes what it wants when it wants. It won't hurt them to lose but it also won't help them to win.
