Sorry I really wasn’t trying to make you feel bad if that happened. Just explaining why I value them as high as I do.

This has got me thinking though, what made everyone grow to love the teams that they love? As in, why does @NochNoch love Golden State or @GreatWhiteNorth love the Blues or @Notorious B.E.N love Zaga?... etc.

I was genuinely curious as they haven’t even been around 20 years and it’s not common for someone who is a lifelong fan of many sports to have a more significant bond with the Preds than others..that’s why I said what I did. Now I get it

I got into hockey when I was about 11 years old. Nashville didn’t have a team then, obviously, and neither did Atlanta. Nothing local to me. I used to watch Sportscenter over and over as a kid and I saw a special segment on Brett Hull and was hooked. Blues fan ever since.

For me, i don't really like college basketball, but I went to my cousin's graduation at Gonzaga in 2007 or 2008 and i became a fan then. They were more of the loveable underdog back then i guess but i just connected to them.


And since im from Alabama but a Tennessee football fan first and foremost, the reason for that is when i was 8 or so i saw Heath Shuler playing for Tennessee and for some reason I was drawn to them. I was an Auburn fan until i was about 5, my dad's side of the family is all Auburn. After that i became influenced by my mom's side, all Bama, but since Shuler I've been all Vol.
