I like him much more than Russell. Looks so much better on film.

I will say this. Asante seems to have a better nose for the ball and get off.

That being said I like Russell as well.

Whichever one we get neither are starters day 1 so it doesn’t really matter how good they are right now. It’s going to come down to which one the staff thinks they can develop faster and who has a higher ceiling.

No. Clearly it’s not the full picture but it shows what a certain player looks like in their best moments. You can pick up on what abilities they have. Have to look at that, offers, and high school production.

Even then you don’t know. Player motivation is a huge part of it and can’t tell that until they get to campus

Yes they are, back in 01-02 my coach sent a "highlight tape" in to coach Fulmer. Couple days later I received a letter from Coach Dan Brooks and Coach Chavis saying they wanted full game tape. So yes most coaches want full game tape not highlights.

Of course they are meaningless . They are highlights. Most of the time its the best against the worst. On the D side its all about not being blocked and getting into the back field. Nothing about getting off blocks or pushing your man back into the runner or QB. Receivers making a catch and running with the ball. Hundreds of high school receivers do that each year. One kid might be a sophomore and the other a senior. Big difference. RB's cutting it outside almost every time for big gains. Never gonna happen in the SEC. O lines and D lines of opponents WHO KNOWS the kid they are blocking in front of them. Maybe a Senior against a Sophomore.

That is why a schools staff evaluates is the most important key of all. They need to be there to see his skill set, technique, measurements and be able to determine if the kid is coachable. Coach Pruitt has spotted a few who were flying under the radar. He got a couple and a couple got away. The reason the recruits that coach Saban and Dabo get bumps for the most part is because they know those staffs can evaluate players. I think we got some players that have the fight in them. That has been missing for the most part in our recruiting classes up until this year..............................................................Camping matters big time

I think the one in the White Chapel area of London in 2017 was about twice that size. 120 tons and over 800 feet long.
