Saban changed OC’s after his first year at Bama. There may have been even more turnover than that, but I can’t remember. Maybe they areclearing out room for the new OC to bring their own guys in. I don’t think it’s a big deal.
Fair point... According to wiki there was also Turnover with the TE coach, he left for Duke.

It just can’t, man. Pat was one of a kind.

I know everyone is upset with Holly but I just feel bad for her most of the time. Pat was her best friend. They were sisters. She was closer to Pat than anyone else. Her best friend was taken away from her by that terrible disease and she was tasked with doing the impossible of living up to the standard arguably the greatest basketball coach of all time set.

I don’t envy her.
Yeah...but it's like she learned nothing from Pat. She us a horrid floor coach, if she was just a little better, she wouldn't catch so much well earned flack. If she isn't up to the job, and she really loved Pat so much, it seems like she would step aside, and let someone else better at coaching to fix this before everything Pat worked for is destroyed.

Watching a women’s sport that’s also a primary male sport is brutal. The lack of athleticism, creativity, fundamentals, and tempo compared to the men’s game make it boring. Gymnastics, volleyball, soccer, and fast-pitch softball are ok. Basketball is brutal to watch females play because the men make it a totally different game.

Plus there is no parity in the women’s game like there is in men’s. There are only a few select teams that can win because the talent pool is a puddle compared to men’s basketball.

I know a lot of guys think this way but you're wrong. The women's game is every bit as good. It is however stylistically different. Our LVs, at the moment, aren't worth watching. Of course, neither were our footvols.

I’ll ask you the same question, who would you replace her with??

LV's - Holly recruits well - that's it. She's a horrible communicator and ineffective leader. The other competitors are thrilled she's the HC and will continue to say wonderful things about her. Watch the offensive system she runs. It's an unidentifiable pass around the horn, dribble drive in the last seconds mess. They play man D approximately 90% of the time, 2-3 zone the rest with a couple presses. They win what they win through her recruiting good talent. If you are OK with that, you know nothing about Pat and her legacy. It's a total cop out. You want to be the best at everything. Doesn't matter the gender or sport because winning begets winning. Winners learn from winners.
Hear hear!!!

Holly actually has an offensive system??? Where I’m from we called it backyard ball.

No. All 42 genders are =

Holly's a good person and a dedicated alum who grew up in the program and loves it. If you love something, you have to do what's best for it. Hire people to do what you can't, find assistants whose strengths balance your weaknesses, bring in consultants to help fix problems that are holding the team back. Don't let the program backslide to the point where UT is no longer elite and make the AD and your long-time friend have to fire you when he clearly doesn't want to do that.

I don't care all that much about WBB, either, but I do care about maintaining UT's position in marquee sports we used to dominate and I cared greatly about Pat.
It's gonna be like football. The further you get from your success, the harder it is to get back. Football is so far removed from the glory days, it's almost irrelevant. We used to expect final fours, literally every year. When we missed it was an extreme anomaly. We went from that to it would be an anomaly for the lady Vols to be in one. I think just making the tournament is good enough for her to keep her job. The narrative is "How do you fire a coach that has you in the tournament every year.". My view is "How do you not fire a coach that never makes it to a final four." Holly will never make a final four. Next year the UCONN rivalry is back on. Can't wait for that blood letting.

Something to pay attention to as it relates to Chaney. He and Hyams are pretty tight. So if it's Chaney, Hyams will probably break it first. Jimmy gets a lot of deserved grief; however, his relationship with Chaney probably had a lot to do with the story he posted earlier.

You're wrong. Its unwatchable. Next?

Y'all will watch HS and Middle School football while never making the claims he did. In fact, you'll talk about how great it is despite the fact that it's clearly subpar when compared to college and the NFL. It's ok to admit that you're just biased against a sport or that it's just not your thing but don't pretend it's because there's some fundamental flaw in it and give excuses about men somehow being superior at sport in general.

I was thinking he might have an in here

Agree on all points. I hate to say this but you can’t blame the AD for the hire as she was handpicked by Pat. She got a contract extension from CPF because of the optics to recruits. This is an elite program and any coach wanting to move up would jump at the opportunity. Holly was doomed to fail following a legend.
She needs to be the CEO of the program, just make the right hires and let them do their job. Defensive coach and offensive coach. All these women the last few years have looked lost, school yard ball.
