There’s been smoke about weinke leaving for a while. Not really on Johnson. I heard UNC made a run at him and rocker but both declined.Another rumor on VQ from a regular poster (don't know how often he's right though)...that Weinke and David Johnson are leaving. That would mean we have 3 spots to fill on O...
Chaney, Lebby AND Tee...Fulmer breaking out the check book...
I think Chaney is average at best and no one will convince me other wise. I watched his offenses here for 4 years and there is a reason he has been a drifter and Georgia has stripped responsibilities from him and are slow playing him with a contract. I know I’m in the minority for that but that’s how i feel.
I thought you were not going to spend all day arguing about this.......seems like you have Done just thatJust think our current personnel would be a disaster in what he likes to do and i don’t like him on the trail. Just think we can do better.
I see Chaney at best as a B coordinator and a D recruiter.
C hire which is how i would grade it.
I wish Barnes had the time to spend a few days with them and teach them some good screen, ball movement and floor spacing concepts and then working some inside out stuff like the guys run. That Green girl was dominating inside because of hustle and getting off. rebounds, at least the part of the game I saw. She needs to be more involved in the offensive sets.Yes they are 12-2 and have not really had a game that I was comfortable with our lead haven't played good at all against sub-par competition. Holly might be able to recruit but it's also of the lady Vol name. Is a terrible coach and doesn't teach anything. We come out of a double timeout and run no screens to get a good shot off.
Watching a women’s sport that’s also a primary male sport is brutal. The lack of athleticism, creativity, fundamentals, and tempo compared to the men’s game make it boring. Gymnastics, volleyball, soccer, and fast-pitch softball are ok. Basketball is brutal to watch females play because the men make it a totally different game.
Plus there is no parity in the women’s game like there is in men’s. There are only a few select teams that can win because the talent pool is a puddle compared to men’s basketball.
Losing 3 offensive coaches in year one seems like a bad sign.
I don’t buy it
