No. I've said multiple times that UT didn't offer Freeze. IDK what Pruitt does or is doing. I'm not his confidant, and I'm willing to bet no one on this board is. The media certainly isn't. Former players, coaches and players aren't. He's running a tight search and confiding in a closed circle. Talking is one thing; interviewing is another. And hiring is in an entirely different realm, and Pruitt's not doing that on his own. There are people whose opinions matter more than his.

If you think Pruitt isn't accountable to people above him or doesn't operate within certain parameters, then you have no idea how UT is run. Or any business, for that matter.

I know for a fact, he has an extremely tight circle.

I know several on his staff and others around the University due to my time in and around the game, and they aren’t told much at all when it comes to this OC search. Recruiting is a little bit different cause the staff does a lot of calls and in houses, so stuff does get out.

So you are absolutely correct in that nobody, coaches, Alum, media ect, knows much if anything at all.

We just gotta have faith that Coach and Pruitt have things headed in the right direction. Cause truth is, we can’t afford for it not to be.

I actually like it that way. Loose lips sinks ships.

What makes him on of the best in the league? Tell me about what you love about his scheme...Our offense was bad 3/4 years he was here... and during those 3 he had comparable or maybe even better talent than he would this coming up year with us... he had a very good offense his last year with us with about 6 NFL players including QB and maybe the most dynamic player we’ve ever had in CP....to pair with the worst defense in our history probably to keep getting possessions. I constantly remember his play calling costing us late in games that year and people being irate about it.

Also...Why is Georgia slow playing his contract and stripping his duties?

Probably because kirbys last chance to keep Coley is by going full time OC. Coley recruiting ability trumps Chaney. Coley pulls so many 5 stars for them outnof state. Chaney was pissed about him getting the QB duties this yr.

UGA mods don't seem to think he sucks or that there is any conspiracy with his contract like apparently you do. He could easily have a new contract and we wouldn't know until they decided to release such info

He’s scheme is dependent on having a great Play action game and slow developing vertical route concepts. That spells disaster for our current personal

I don’t disagree but we had a pretty crappy oline during Bray’s last season and the offense was pretty effective. I am not saying JG is anywhere near Bray as a passer but he could be developed into a decent one with the right coach. He hasn’t really had great coaching thus far. I wouldn’t put too much stock into one game

Not going to waste my time arguing with you. You said a few posts ago nothing anyone can say will change your mind, right?

And you're exaggerating on "stripping his duties". His duties weren't "stripped". Kirby wanted to keep Coley around because he's an elite recruiter and giving him the title and more pay was the only way to do it. Otherwise, he was going to A&M. Chaney relinquished those duties to be a team player to help Kirby keep Coley. Similar when an NFL QB takes less $ so his team can afford to keep other players around.

And maybe UGA isn't slow playing his contract...maybe Chaney is the one not wanting to stick around and/or willing to listen to other offers? No reason to assume one way or the other.

Fact is, whether you believe it or not, Chaney would be a great hire and the optics would be VERY positive for Pruitt if he made that a reality.

He may not be but he certainly has a higher ceiling and is way better in recruiting. Chaney was lazy as hell in that aspect.
I think he’s a fine recruiter. Not elite, not a bulldog by any means, but players love him, like to play for him, and he’s got a pretty great QB pedigree.

If we can get him we should absolutely do it. I’m confident he can work with Friend to maximize the style of play Pruitt wants.

False. It's only 5 o'clock somewhere 24 times a day. Far more often it's 5:37 or 5:23 somewhere. Right now it's 5:06 somewhere for instance. Jimmy Buffett is an idiot and has spread this falsehood for far too long. He must be stopped.

Good point, but would you believe it's 5 o'clock 35 times a day? It turns out there are 25 standard times zones & ten non-standard (offset by 30 minutes). Who knew, right?

His system has worked fine at UGA. Our current personel won't always be our current personell if you can't tell by how we are recruiting the OL and TE positions. You don't make decisions based on yr 1.

We had James stone, Dallas Thomas, jujuan James on that OL... it isn’t comparable to this one.

More than 24. Some time zones have a 30 or 45 minute offset.
