Payton was similar. His philosophy with hits was that it's better to give than to receive. His choice was always to deliver the hit. He believed that was easier on his body, too.

Running out of bounds is far easier on the body. No impact at all.

Here is a picture of my other two. The Brown one is Izzy (she is a besenji). The black one is Jett (minature pinscher).

No. Based on the question asked, “Who would you take” it is relevant to who I would take

Would you rather have Marino for 10 yrs and zero rings or Bradshaw or 10 yrs and 4?

So, do I get Marino and his team against the teams he faced during his career, or do I get Bradshaw with the curtain and that era opponents.

This goes for every player and position. WR and today's lax rules, or twenty years ago when DBS made it very very difficult for them to get off the line. Peyton would have had a much harder time in the 70s, timing routes were rare, wide receivers got mauled, the middle of the field was deadly territory. The defenses would have broken him in half with the crushing hits. By contrast, many of those defensive players wouldn't be as well thought of in today's game, slow, suspended for hits, flagged for interference, etc.

Sorry for the extra pics, drunk and dog posting pics is fun!
This was my other “Mal” I use to have.
