If that contract is correct I wouldn’t be too upset if he were our next hc. I really like CJC. Seems like he coached some kids up in his time here and players liked playing for him

You know he’s the OC at Bama and called the semifinal game right? Very well I might add
1 game against the Oklahoma defense. I think that was the lowest point total Oklahoma gave up all year. Haha. Up until then his entire background could have been mistaken for the 70s offenses. He was just running the offense that was already set up there all year. Wouldn't call that his offense.

From VQ:

Rivals Mod Anthony Dasher gives legs to the Chaney rumor in his latest post.

“As far as coaches are concerned, like you, I’ve seen the rumors regarding Jim Chaney. It's been suggested that Jeremy Pruitt is possibly considering him for the vacant offensive coordinator’s job at Tennessee.

Although I’ve heard nothing specific from my end on this, until Pruitt makes the call, it’s a situation that bears watching.

Chaney, like all of Georgia’s current assistants, received a raise back in February. However, it was only $100,000, compared to the $600,000 increase given to former defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, and the $480,000 boost given James Coley (current salary at $850,000) to spurn an offensive coordinator’s offer from Texas A&M.

If Chaney does leave, it’s not expected to have any impact whatsoever on offensive lineman coach Sam Pittman ($825,000). On the other hand, you can bet, don’t be shocked if you hear other teams ultimately checking in, given the coach's success.”
I like the potential here… We take Chaney, Bama takes Pittman, and Georgia is left to suffer the consequences.

So critical of his offensive calls/production against Oklahoma in a national semifinal but you are ready to hire the coach who called plays against Ave Maria at his last stop? Interesting, but not exactly my style.

His offense evolved at Arkansas when Beilema let him and at his stops before Arkansas he ran quite a bit of pistol and 2 back shotgun sets. He was known for his playcalling and catching the defense off guard. I think that background with a year at Alabama and now calling plays in that offense is a great get. Loads of big time experience. Someone Pruitt can trust.

I’d give Enos a B+
Lebby/Gleason get a D-
