Tee Martin & Will Friend Co-OC?

Funny the ones that usually bring it up are guys like you crying that someone will validly bring it up.

But since you brought it up he is defintley not being held to the same standards as other coaches who have been fired or had people on staff that gave input.

I'll leave the speculation of the reason why to you.
Race-town-king strikes again.....

I, for one, am sick of hearing about Tee Martin for OC. He turned his back on UT, and he proved he cannot handle the OC job by failing at USC.
I would not want him at UT as OC, and I hope to not hear about it any more. I appreciate what he did when he was here, but it is clear, it does not mean a lot to him anymore, so it doesn't mean as much to be to have him back.

he sure did. Jones offered him 200K to come be WR coach when he was making a lot more than that at USC. Then he hired Azzanni at 285K.. Yep, Tee turned it down.

Hasn't been offered anything else here since then..

Another example of the outstanding character of BJ. Just curious though, who in the administration was pushing for him?
Can you share?

I ‘ll support Pruitt to pick. It is his job. Any fan that witnessed the 1998 season will
Welcome Tee to serve in an appropriate position as determined by Pruitt. Tee’s past history as i see it rules him out as the VOL OC.
If all it takes to be OC is a national championship I vote for Sterling Price.

Was more former players and those that were around program many years. Athletic department. Not Hart...

Tee was the OC. Both Heltons also wanted Max Browne or whoever it was to be the qb when Tee wanted Darnold the whole time. Tee is the reason he even played.

His play calling was a major reason he for drafted. Plus Tee developed Juju and a ton of other wrs.

Fan comments on a messageboard mean nothing. The most miserable are the loudest. The JG poll is a good example. Posts are about even between if JG is terrible vs if he was average to good. The poll shows 80% think he was average to good. The ones that are mad are just really loud.

Tee had someone to replace Darnold. He got hurt. Then the game he was demoted the backup and got 35 points 271 and 3tds and no ints. He didn't coach the d.

4of 5 top scoring games last year Tee was OC. Scored more than Helton coached us to. According to you roster problems are no excuse.

Tee had better play calling when they were not on the same team.

If Helton was the reason they were good, last year we would have had way better play calling.

They say Pruitt and Friend had to step in because he was in over his head but you claim he was responsible for USC? lmao
Most astute thing you have said. Invalidates all the rest of the whining you have done. Congratz.

Started off with a lie so the rest is invalid. Still wrong but invalid anyway.

TEE AND HELTON WERE NOT CO-OCS. STOP LYING. IT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED BY ALL THE COACHES INVOLVED.

TEE CALLED ALL THE PLAYS AND SET THE GAME PLAN. HELTON WAS A GOOD ASSISTANT THAT OFFERED IDEAS WHEN TEE WANTED.

TEE HAD THE SAME DUTIES WHEN HE WAS PGC/WR COACH AND CLAY WAS OC. I GUESS HE GETS CO-OC CREDIT FOR THAT TOO HUH?

THOSE GOOD NUMBERS ARE ALL TEE. UNLESS YOU CAN SHOW ME WHERE CO-OC IS ON ANY COACHING ROSTER OR RESUME. THOSE NUMBERS ARE BETTER THAN ENOS. THE ONLY ONE WHO CALLED PLAYS.

We saw what Helton did last year when calling plays. The most predictable and slow offense in years.

That is unless you want to apply the same standards that you use for Tee. In that case Helton was Co-OC with Friend last year. It sounds like he had more control here than Helton had at USC with Tee.

I guess you hold last year against Friend as a shadow CO-OC.

Friend and Lebby have NEVER CALLED PLAYS.

Enos numbers are worse than Tee's. Dropped every year and then he got fired with one of the most boring offenses the SEC has seen.

So he has a better resume than all three. You can lie all you want. The numbers don't.

So why did he get fired and why did he go to a team like Louisville?

And like clockwork, here it is. Different thread, same babbling horse manure excuse

As is your wont, in absence of FACT, state it emphatically! All you posted was made up bull. If if if! When he UNDOUBTEDLY had playcalling responsibilities, his team epically stunk up the joint! You expect a drop off when you lose a Darnold...not complete loss of pulse. His boss would know if he had done these impressive things you cite and wouldn’t DEMOTE him then cut him loose armed with that knowledge. He was propped up by SOMEONE who knew what they were doing. One or both of the Heltons propped him up and when it came time for it to be his show, he bombed. Eventual successes fail and then get back up and maybe succeed eventually...that’s where Tee is at. Someone will pay him well to do so, not much to cry about.

Heard Ainge talking about that possibility this morning. Could it work? My initial thought was that I hate the idea of Co-OC’s, but at this point, unless we can get Sark, I think this isn’t an awful idea.
Lord have we reached this ridiculous level now? Either one would be questionable imo, but Tee Martin would be just awful. Who thinks up this stuff?

Can you provide a snippet where this was “discussed”? Or is this going to go the way of one of your “all the experts say” fails? 😉
