And yet.. with alllll that superior talent, and alllll that innovation..he almost got his ass beat despite having one of the best teams ever...

Because his all world starting QB got boo-boos and had a bad day...
Key word. ALMOST and I don’t think his system changed that much when Hurts entered the game. Nothing being written will change your mind will it.

Except for the guy who actually ran the offense, Helton. He was about as forward thinking as Knute Rockne
He came from a background of it though. Just wasn't able to execute here. Doesn't mean the next guy won't be able to or that Pruitt didn't expect Helton to be forward thinking based on his past.

Your QB gets hurt (no matter the system) and your offense suffers to some extent. Lebby was part of a system that lost it’s top 3 QB’s in a season but still boatraced a pretty salty UNC defense in a bowl game. Peruse.

Hubbs just said that’s he doesn’t get the sense that Pruitt is close to a decision in the OC search nor does he think he’s in a hurry. Still. This may go till spring
I like Hubbs, but if not related to recruiting I barely listen. He seems ultra vague and always waits until certain to report anything.

Wow. Stinks to lose Yurcich to Ohio St. I’d love to have heard how Pruitt reacted when he got the call. Lol. Probably R rated at best.

That’s a hell of a hire. Wtf are we doing
LOL. Are you really trying to compare the shape of their program and hires to ours? We are not in a position to grab whomever we want. Doesn't mean we will not end up with someone that can do a good job.

I’m not going to list the programs who have made HC and coordinator hires while we’ve been vacant.

His offenses at SC were average at best. The only place he coached with success was WKU and it’s quite clear that Brohm ran that offense. We don’t have the first clue as to what Pruitt is thinking

IMO, this has moved slowly because Pruitt wants to make changes and is exploring options. He's not an offensive guy, so he's probably feeling his way around what he wants and what he thinks will work best. Fulmer encouraged Pruitt to talk to people to get ideas on offensive schemes and improving offensive production. Saban did that, too. It's good advice, and it looks like Pruitt's taking it to heart. I think they meant to move quicker-- just didn't work out that way.

Honest question. Have we reached the point of worrying about Pruitt’s ability to hire an offensive staff? When you look at this defensive staff, it’s elite because that’s what he knows. Just curious what y’all think. I’m kinda torn on it as I think it through.
