yep. i think it's definitely the rushing attack that has peaked my interest. honestly, i didn't realize they ran the ball that much. some of htat at baylor was due to RGIII and using the QB in the run game. but you don't compile those kinds of rushing yards w/out commtting to running the ball, one way or the other.Mumme and Briles systems are a lot different. Briles, and Lebby, are known for running right up the middle out of the spread and have prolific rushing offenses supplemented with air raid passing concepts. Mumme was pure air raid with little commitment to the run.
Pruitt working for Bama has given people that impression but when he worked under Propst they were innovative, so thats where he cut his teeth, plus he's not retarded... he sees where this thing is headed.. wide open pedal to the freakin metal, let's tire this defense out and hang 70 on these SOB's......I think the offensive coaches he's targeted and hired in the past give a strong indication that he is pretty forward thinking offensively and doesn't simply want a clock control defensive offense. Nearly everyone of them have been known for creative and explosive offenses.
but theyv've had 25 years ... and its still spreading, offenses have finally figured out that 11 guys cannot be right defending 53 by 30 square yards.. one guy responsible for over 50 sq yds with guys zooming thru their area at full speed. If you can execute, you will get first downsFor the record, I agree with you. Coaches will always eventually adapt to system guys.
It’s true. Even guys like carol and bellicheck have evolved. Be more aggressive on defense and take more risks and try for turnovers and sacks.but theyv've had 25 years ... and its still spreading, offenses have finally figured out that 11 guys cannot be right defending 53 by 30 square yards.. one guy responsible for over 50 sq ft with guys zooming thru their area at full speed. Sorry, I have a hard time forgiving bit*hing, just for the sake of bit*hing. When you NEED to make an OC hire, hell yeah I am going to criticize him. We are what, 30...40....days into this search, and people are like....things are ramping up now. Excuse me if I have a problem with procrastination....from anyone. Pruitt is not above reproach. One would think that he would want an OC here to be able to recruit some more Offensive Playmakers and get some continuity with the coaches. Forgive me for criticizing Lord Pruitt.
