It’s not confusing if you look at it through the prism of we’re having a hard time getting people to interview/take the job/prove to be a good fit.
it also depends on whether or not you believe that to be the case. that's not to say i think it's gone swimmingly mind you. but i don't think we've had any issues talking to people. by all accounts, we've spoken probably a dozen, or more, folks about this job. and there's not been any evidence to suggest that we've offered the job to anyone, except maybe Yurcich, and we got kiffin'd when his dream job came up at the 11th hour apparently.

past that......if yurcich, briles is the pond you're fishing in, Lebby makes sense. he might be the 2nd or 3rd choice of htose three, but he's in that same group of offensive minded coaches.

I like the idea of both Lebby and Tee coming on board. Nothing against Weinke, but I could get fired up about something like this...

Lebby - OC/TE or RB (if he’s going to install Briles system)
Tee Martin - QB/passing game coordinator
Friend - OL/associate head coach
Johnson - WR
Neidermeyer- TE or RB

Pruitt's not going to win the coaching search, no matter who he selects. So he might as well choose the guy he wants and tune out the noise. That's what he does. He'll be talking to people in San Antonio, so it's not done.

I honestly wouldn’t mind Osovet and although I don’t think Lebby is happening I don’t mind that one either.

Sure and he may turn out to be elite. But Pruitt didn’t trust Helton who had more experience, why would he trust Lebby?

I don’t think that lack of experience is why he didn’t trust Helton. He probably just didn’t like what he was seeing. Orgeron didn’t trust Canada and he had a proven track record. If he likes what he’s seeing from lebby or whoever it would make him less likely to step in and try to change stuff.

This pro style BS I hear all the time is like people wanting to ride a horse still, when a 36 Packard zooms past them at 70mph. Hell even Saban is coming around to it with the only way to succeed with it (pro style) is to have superior talent. It only stretches the field vertically on play action.

Remember that Crabtree catch against Texas? Leach had the balls to hit a deep out when he didnt need that many yards for a first, but knew that grass would be uncovered. Show some balls and score some damn points. I'm getting tired of this ***** *** ****
Heard an interesting comment this morning on the drive to work. Bama threw over 50% of the time on 1st down this year.
Saban has implemented more of Air Raid 2.0 than folks think. I believe CJP knows what gives defense trouble and that is why he wants innovative offense

I haven't been around the board much. I guess Sark is out? Has there been talk that we may be going the Co-offensive coordinator route? We have some good people on staff, but don't want to go down that road we did with Larry Scott.

Good thing about Lebby also I that, if he’s good, he’ll be here a while.

Everyone is throwing monkey poo against the wall and seeing what shade the wall is.

That’s some rough stuff, man. You’re smarter than me (don’t get excited...that’s not the end of the sentence) sharing this struggle. I held it in and didn’t even tell anybody on this board til months after my wife’s passing. My wife fought everything well until the tumors spread to her brain so as bad as it is being in your wife’s bones is there’s some optimism to hold onto. All kinds of success stories out there so keep it a hunnert!

Quit reading after the 7th word 😎 I kid I kid, thank you sir! I am very sorry to hear that about your wife but yes I am trying to stay positive and it is a challenge. She has been at MD Anderson since May and so far her progress has been very good so I am hopeful! Unfortunately, it is an extremely aggressive rare cancer and her odds are 50/50 at best which always weighs on the back of your mind
