I like it! That yahoo article you shared yesterday was a fantastic breakdown of this stuff. Thanks for posting that.
This pro style BS I hear all the time is like people wanting to ride a horse still, when a 36 Packard zooms past them at 70mph. Hell even Saban is coming around to it with the only way to succeed with it (pro style) is to have superior talent. It only stretches the field vertically on play action.

Remember that Crabtree catch against Texas? Leach had the balls to hit a deep out when he didnt need that many yards for a first, but knew that grass would be uncovered. Show some balls and score some damn points. I'm getting tired of this ***** *** ****

My thing with Osovet is the dynamic from going from kind of the intern to the boss. That would be kind of be naturally odd in that room. He also isn't used to the big stage. Perfect world you have him work his way up the chain as position coach. I know he wants it but he is probably better off working his way up the chain of command for better results
What? The man was a head coach before he came to UT. Give it a rest. Pruitt brought him here for a reason.

I don’t see it that way. Take Matt Nagy, the HC of the Bears. He was basically a nobody until Doug Pederson left the chiefs for the eagles and he stepped in and made a name for himself for the chiefs and has made that bears offense and trubisky look legit.

That's a perfectly logical resume ladder climb

Going from a non power 5 position coach to a high major OC job isn't

Im encouraged Pruitt keeps looking at these innovative offensive guys, The NFL is 25% Airraid 2.0 now and will continue to grow. The veer, wing t, and option from the old days stretched a defense horizontally, but not vertically.

The airraid by mumme and leach just replaced runs with short passes. But then some people realized we can run the sh!t out of this ball in these sets too, esp with a mobile qb.

Then Briles started outside zone and pulling lineman opposite directions from where DL were taught to key, Bob Stitt using jet and fly motion that Holgerson used to torch Clemson for 70.

Butch's slow developing inside zone was torture. You need to hit it quickly. Everytime Hurd was to dobbs left, it was an inside zone to right or vice versa.. Thats retarded predictability. You let your qb run outside zone as well and the LB's hesitate now.

So a hurry up 3 day install of your offense has spread like wildfire in HS college and getting there in the pros. These twists with RPO, which stretches horizontally and vertically, and Airraid 2.0 mixed with some veer concepts, makes offense easy for the O to learn and execute, and the D really reactive rather than attacking... which is what u want.

Yall gon trip if we hire Lebby, but in a good way when we hang 48 on South Carolina

Post more.

What does conference have anything to do with it. UCF is more relevant now than half the SEC schools including us. Would it be more logical if Vanderbilt or Kentucky hired him over us? He’s been around and worked with great coaches and offenses. That’s far more important to me than coming up the ladder the right ways.

Think about how scary things would get if Lebby and Osovet sat around for a year and meshed their concepts together, both record setting guys who put their offenses in the top 5 in the country consistently.

You dont do that sh!t on accident brothers. There are some great defensive coordinators out there that know their football too. So why are they making them look like fools? Because the spacing is such that 11 guys cant defend 53 yards wide when stretched 30 yards deep!

Its science!

I agree to some degree but I am sorry gameplanning against Memphis is a hell a lot different than against the SEC.

Look it's clear if we hire Lebby Pruitt wanted to go with that style and that's fine but it's also clear Lebby was 4th on the wish list. No sugar coating that

I like bringing Tee on staff a lot because of the recruiting acumen - like we all do.

But also let’s say Pruitt gets rolling and we’re winning 10 games a year by year 3 and 4. Saban retires and Pruitt leaves. Theoretically, if things are rolling like I said, you want someone you can trust to take over the program without having to make wholesale changes. Maybe Tee is ready for that by that time?

1.You don't get to write speculation as history.

2. If skipping the standard climb equals hiring a Ole Miss/Freeze..

And proper ladder climbing equals Butch Jones, I'll be ok with taking a chance.

No he will never be ready and Fulmer knows that imo

Ok it was Lebby all along. Sounds believable doesn't it?

Thought I saw his name mentioned on reports from that investigation. But who has time to tape those shredded documents together? If it’s him, does he look in on the RB’s as well iyo? Could lead to Weinke moving to QB’s or if he leaves...Sunseri. Niedermeyer to RB’s with Lebby overseeing both. Discuss.
As far as I know his name wasn't brought up. Kendall was mentioned. Who knows though. I was a little worried about it when UCF hired him but at least they hadn't just gone through the lawsuit Tennessee did. I'm not against second chances for those guys, other than Art, just worry about the scrutiny in Knoxville.

As far as RB vs QB he has been very successful with both so he could fit in where needed. I would probably let him take RB and move Weinke to QB if he was hired. Or if Weinke leaves I think Sunseri would be good to move to QB, or Lebby over QBs Neids RBs and bump Lilly up to TEs. Lots of options with his versatility.

Tee for recruiting purposes? Yes. Tee for play calling? I don’t know but it doesn’t seem that it worked out too well in SC. Would he come just for recruiting purposes??
