Either he just wanted to go home or he was never really offered here and that was in fact his best offer. Doesn't really matter. There are still plenty of good candidates.

crazy how so many folks don't get sarcasm on here... we've talked/speculated about tons of options... that was all I was referring to... he either gets one of the options that have been out there, or he's been sitting on his rear and grabs Friend...

I know you're joking...but on a more serious note, I'm guessing he wants CJP to collect a few more 4 & 5 stars...until then, the pieces simply aren't in place to succeed and he finds being the scapegoat isn't worth the million per year in compensation.

How does what we discuss have anything to do with what is actually happening though? It would still just be judgements based on speculation and assumptions.

I can confirm that we have spoken with Sark and Chaney off the record a few times...but they wouldn’t be considered official interviews per se. There were some discussions with multiple candidates today which is why I made the comment that things have picked up recently.

The eggs were in the Okie OC basket and that thing sprung a leak late unfortunately for us. It is just another run of bad luck for us but we move on. This search has been well run and very coordinated and only reason it seems stuck now is we felt we had it wrapped up and when it fell apart we were maybe not as prepared as we should have been for the wheels to fall off when they did.
