"Why? Because we were supposed to play. Because our universities expected us to play. Because our scholarships required us to play. Because we gave our word to our families and to ourselves that, every time we were on the field, we were going to leave everything on it. And equally as importantly as all of those reasons, because our teammates depended on us to play, and we were not going to abandon our brothers.

Because every game we played in our school jerseys mattered."

I cannot stop laughing out loud reading this quote and thinking about it applying to a player sitting out the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl

I’m going off what Paul K reported on 104.5 the zone. His report may have been from this article but he presented it on the radio as this block will limit Kitchens to the option of the new Cleveland HC. They speculated a new HC other than the current interim HC would likely leave Kitchens high and dry with no NFL options.

If they don't retain Kitchens they don't get to decide who he interviews with. They can't have it both ways. That restriction only lasts until his status with the Browns is settled.

My exact thought as I listed to Hyams today. Granted he did preface it with, "not a a lot of new news..." Just that one of his "sources" said don't count out Cheney. Recounted the QB coach issue at GA with Coley. Also mentioned the possibility of Miami hiring an OC before TN and cited Fedora and Applewhite as being on Diaz's list...which I think he was hinting at perhaps Coley would not get the call at Miami before Fedora or Applewhite.
Also stated that a veteran SEC coach said Cheney was the best play caller in the SEC right now.

My question is... does no one want the job or does no one get along with Pruitt
Maybe Pruitt really is just being honest, guys. Pruitt in his presser said that, and the commitments show, not having an OC didn't impact us during ESD. He, Nieds & his staff are killers on the recruitment trail & perhaps he has been focused on recruiting rather than hiring someone who can't make too much of an impact on that recruitment just yet. I actually think we won't see a hire until after the dead period, which I think is January 10th, could be wrong.

The only person that we believe was actually offered is Yurcich. So, other than him, there's no reason to believe that people are turning us down. Heck, he may have not even been offered.

Would be hard to believe we have offered 0 coaches in ~40 days

#Browns have denied #NFL teams permission to interview Freddie Kitchens for their OC jobs, per @rapsheet. Does this mean he's picking up steam to be the Browns next head coach?

They’re screwing him over. They want him to interview for HC next week and hope that, if not him that’s hired, the new guy retains him.

He legitimately took a break 2 weeks before signing day and did no interviews or anything. Also did nothing after signing day during the holidays according to Hubbs. This week is the first time he's returned to the OC search since interviewing Yurcich on that Saturday. That's according to Hubbs.

Like a BOSS. We over here having mental breakdowns every 5 minutes and Pruitt sitting back having a glass of eggnog and eating sausage balls.

Which is why I believe he thought Yurcich was wrapped up

You know the two who i believe were offered the job so obviously i don’t agree but if infact we haven’t offered anyone the job in almost two months then Pruitt is lost.
