This is a realistic level of hire and more of the type of resume I expected to see with this hire. No current SEC OC or any other OC with quality options going to drop everything to come here. With a major O-line rebuild and a fan base that will turn on on an OC because he can't call plays and run them, I'm not surprised people aren't flocking here.

Got it from my inside source.
Well! Mine was just a rumor, your inside source must be pretty good. I think I’ll stick with your inside source that he has been in the state of Tennessee. Thanks again. At least someone backed me up on the rumor that he has been in the state.

You didnt start by saying he had been in the state. There are no inside sources on this, its on the news.

Like I said 2 weeks ago Pruitt is struggling to find a OC..It aint looking good..

Lol, Pruitt isn’t struggling for anything. With the amount of money Tennessee can dish out there is no struggle. Finding someone he likes and thinks will fit may be a different story. (But, that isn’t called struggling that is called being selective.)

Word on the hill is that this guys name has surfaced some how. I didn’t know until just now, but anyhow, it’s gotten interesting on campus. What do you guys think?

I just keep going back to Harrison Bailey saying Pruitt told him the new OC has SEC ties and that he's Coached in the SEC. So if true it could be Cheney or Sark. The last month + I have believed that it would Sark, which means I'm sure it's gonna be someone else based on my horrible gift of being wrong on anything Vol related. I really hope it is Sark though.

I’ve got no inside sources at all. I did bring up that it was rumored that he was in the state of Tennessee interviewing for jobs. I didn’t see or know where at. It was or has been rumored that he was in Knoxville. Whether there is any truth to that or not, I don’t know.

I don’t know who it is going to be. Sark sounds good and Cheney sounds good.

And the rumor is that he has been in the state of Tennessee yesterday or today interviewing for offensive co jobs.
Why would Pruitt have anyone come to Tennessee at this point with the coaches convention starting this weekend? He could interview multiple coaches in a single day without leaving his hotel room

He definitely isn't struggling. He's had to wait for the NFL season to end as well as bowl season ending. He easily could have hired an OC by now but isn't rushing the hire. He will make a good/great hire, that's not even remotely close to being a concern.
