To be fair, I don’t think Dooley had much of a backbone when it came to reigning in Chaney’s pass-happy tendencies. The head coach can always override a play call if he feels the situation calls for it.

Dan Mullen.

Being that the knock on him is he doesn't like to recruit. He may very well be seriously trying to get to that level. Its a whole lot better calendar for sure as far as the off season goes.
