I know Chaney is proven and kinda am ok with him if he is the one. Just trying to remember, weren't we glad he left us the first time he was here? Maybe I am thinking of someone else or have forgotten the circumstances when he was he.
I personally wanted to keep him. After that, his adaptation to a totally different style of offense at Arkansas sold me on his abilities.

I don’t think Pruitt would even consider the idea.
I don' think Pruitt would consider replacing Friend but I do think he would consider bringing in Pittman and having both do OL & TE's and move Neids to RBs. With so many issues and power formations / variations / traditional & spread formations Pruitt seems to want and is trying to incorporate having more focus on the two key areas (OL & TE) makes sense..... Likelihood of it happening, about the same as me showing up to AU and getting a Handy... (Moore thread ref). lol

Beat him to it last night 😎 and what’s even more interesting is UGA’s record the 3 years prior to Richt was 25-11. UGA’s record the 3 years prior to Smart was 28-11 with two of the three years being 10 win seasons. Prior to Richt UGA had only won 10 games twice since Herschel Walker. Richt won 10 games during 10 of his 15 seasons

Chaney was out-schemed and out-coached last night. No way around it. Ga WAS flat and had several players thinking beyond that game but still, you show up. I feel like we complained about those same things with Chaney.
And yet if not for two poorly thrown balls that should have been TDs and a bunch of drops...UGA would have won that game and had a ton of Passing yardage. I thought he fouled up not helping Fromm get in a better rhythm. And his run calls were clearly not good, and he never adjusted to what Texas was doing.

In all...Typical Chaney called game, some brilliance and some dunce.

Chaney wasn't the problem while he was here... I actually enjoyed the offense most of the time. The defenses were so bad that they were just forced into the pressure of having to score literally every time, or come from behind to have a chance to win a game.

that was the worst i've seen Fromm play since he's been at UGA. and for all the praise they get, UGA's o line got pushed around in pass protection.

they just looked off. i think they spent a lot of time trying to talk themselves in to being fired up about playing TX.

if the UGA team that showed up to play Florida or Bama or Auburn showed up last night, they probably beat TX by 10.

all that said, TX played their butts off and flat beat UGA at the point of attack.....and they definitely wanted it more.... A LOT more....than UGA did.

The Arian Foster like fumble Swift had really killed UGA

Pittman is definitely more valuable to UGA than Chaney and they would try harder to keep him in Athens but it is undeniable that the two prefer/ like to work together. AV's state puff man (chaney) & the traveler (Pittman) are coming home, lol. Keep Friend and bring in Chaney/ Pittman. Yes Please!!!
Pittman showed up at UT in Chaney’s last season...before that NADA connection. They’ve joined brand new coaching staffs twice since then. Two different HC’s PREFERRED to hire them. They don’t vacation together or name their dogs after each other. They work well both with each other and without. Chaney will leave eventually if not this season. Pittman retires in Athens.

I have a serious question for the group. Forget about the tight lid on this OC search but does anyone get the impression that Pruitt doesn't give a rats ass about any fan base? He doesn't let any of his coaches talk to the media and he will barely talk to the media himself. I get the impression that he would just prefer to be a coach and not have to deal with any outside distractions. I don't think he understands the passion this fan base has for UT football. I don't think he's gonna change either---we have what we have so lets just hope he can get it done on the field.

Why should he care about your feelings?

Yep

I wonder how people can not see what is clear to me from their body language and expression. I think UGA had a lot of disinterested dudes show up last night.
i don't know that i'd say they were disinterested. i do think the enthusiasm level was considerably lower than UTjr's.

felt like everyone was looking around at each other waiting for "someone else" to make a play or two that would ultimately win the game for them. the classic "roll our helmets out on the field" type game.

i think there are some locker room issues in Athens. couple high profile freshmen appear to be leaving. maybe some uncertaintly on the staff....
i'll just say this....that team that showed up last night may be uber talented, but they had ZERO leadership.
