Right. Georgia will not let him get away. They might let Chaney walk however.
Why are we sure Pittman wouldn’t want to follow CJC back to TN if we offer as much or more than UGA? You think he would want to have to work with whoever the new OC hire is at UGA? No guarantees he will even know the new OC.

Chaney was out-schemed and out-coached last night. No way around it. Ga WAS flat and had several players thinking beyond that game but still, you show up. I feel like we complained about those same things with Chaney.
I disagree. WRs dropped balls, RBs fumbled, Fromm held onto the ball. That's not on Chaney.

What’s even more laughable is this notion that Pittman is attached to Chaney’s prodigious hip. He’s his own success story and he ain’t leaving UGA.
Pittman is definitely more valuable to UGA than Chaney and they would try harder to keep him in Athens but it is undeniable that the two prefer/ like to work together. AV's state puff man (chaney) & the traveler (Pittman) are coming home, lol. Keep Friend and bring in Chaney/ Pittman. Yes Please!!!

I don’t think Pruitt would even consider the idea.
im just talking about from the standpoint of "what if".

in reality i don't think pittman/chaney is a package deal and i don't think Pruitt is even considering doing anything different with friend.

but since speculation is fun..............................................lol.

Recruiting reputation...otherwise solid OL guy. Replacing him with Mahoney wasn’t fatal...not recognizing that Mahoney couldn’t hang and failing to replace him within two seasons...was.
I believe he is a solid OL guy, and he is a good recruiter for sure. It is just the folks that act like he is the elitest of elite OL coaches that I don't get. Then again UGA was pretty young this year as a whole on the OL I think, so maybe that explains some of the confusion last night when faced with a defense doing literally everything different than they had shown through the season.

Bama pursued Pittman heavily when he was at Arkansas. Offered him over a mil per iirc. And Chaney had already bolted for Pitt. He stuck. It takes a lot to get him to move and the OL are all his. He gets a huge raise and retires there.

Our Total Offense this year was ranked 124th. It is blowing my mind people coming in here & complaining about the prospects of getting Sark or Chaney. We are at the literal bottom of CFB in offense & if these guys can even get us in the top 30 next year that is an outstanding accomplishment.

He’s very good but not the only OL coach out there. All’s I’ve ever said. You can be great with him...or without.

I know Chaney is proven and kinda am ok with him if he is the one. Just trying to remember, weren't we glad he left us the first time he was here? Maybe I am thinking of someone else or have forgotten the circumstances when he was he.

He doesn’t move willingly very often. No reason to now. He retires in Athens.
