If you have elite coaching and development stars don’t matter as much.

I’m not thinking about being an elite program right now. I want to beat Vandy, KY, S.C., and Mizzou every year again.

Stars matter in aggregate, but there are biases and outliers when you drill down to specific teams and players.

For example, I’ve wondered if UTs problem is Butch chasing stars from the mid-state, who have inflated rankings because both Rivals and 247 are based out of Nashville.

Meanwhile, Florida high school football might just be that deep, and UCF is just good at filling a roster with local, high quality talent that recruiting services don’t have the resources to adequately find and appropriately rank.

This game here shows me Morehead is far far far from being ready to win there. Just punted on 4th and inches. Went for 2 way too early and his team isn't disciplined.

I will say somehow, we need football year round, it saddens me to know that in kess than a week we wont have any more college football and in a month no pro football for 6 months it sucks
