And i can give you 1000 examples of young qbs who have come in and flourished but yeah lets just go with the qb you yourself says isn't very good.I can give you tons of examples of how it can be worse. Let me start with Peterman at Tennessee and you can go from there. JG isn't very good, but at least he protects the football and delivers accurate throws when he has time. We can do better, but we can do A LOT worse.
You are the qb at an sec school...you better have thick skin especially when your team wins 5 games. Saying we should watch what we say is ludicrous.Would guess the OC and style of play will play a big role as well.
And, JG and his parents read every negative thing said about him. I know some of you guys don’t think he’s very good but understand what you might be doing when you’re going at him. Shrout and Maurer aren’t ready - especially behind that offensive line.

JG can’t play. He’s a sunk cost. Keeping him for even one more second because of the time you’ve invested in him is the wrong move.
The sooner his presence is alleviated the sooner our team can grow.
I really hope Shrout puts it all together this year. Could be interesting if he does.
Yep, he's got a good arm. Shrout was Helton's personal pick, so it'll be interesting. While Pruitt made a few positive comments, he didn't take advantage of the new RS rule to let Shrout get his feet wet. So no one really knows how he's developed, how much competition there will be and what the new OC will want. Wouldn't be surprising to see a QB transfer, though.
Well, I think it’s pretty ridiculous the standard the guy is held to - a standard no one else on the team is held to. I guess it’s because he was such a highly ranked prospect. You are the qb at an sec school...you better have thick skin especially when your team wins 5 games.
