Maybe. But I question his intensity if he's happy with what appears to be a step back IMO. Maybe it helps catapult him to a HC position at a smaller school, I don't know, but overall, it seems like a demotion. Co-OC? Passing game coordinator? IF we offered, he could have come here and been the outright OC. No shared responsibilities. But whatever.Or maybe he just wanted to go home?
Id rather go with Osovet over Sark... last chance to come at me this year.We don't know if Yurcich was even offered.
We don't know how well he would have done here.
I thought he was decent but back a few weeks ago everybody was freaking out when the choices were locksley, or Enos, or briles, or freeze and thought we were going to "settle" for Yurcich.
Sark has a much stronger resume than Yurcich.
Everyone needs to quit freakin' out.
I like what Osovet brings to the table but I've said it since the beginning of this search, Pruitt doesn't have the luxury to experiment on an OC. He needs an experienced cagey veteran that he can turn the offense over to and never look back. Dont think he'll be able to do that with Osovet, yet.Id rather go with Osovet over Sark... last chance to come at me this year.
And for the record, Pruitt acting like hiring an OC is an afterthought/not a priority, is not winning a lot of support... unless he hires a home run... If he doesn't and our offense struggles again because he played grab ass hiring a dud, I and others will, and should be, on his ass like white on rice... big gamble he is taking early in his time here at UT.
