The Atlanta Braves

No matter how significant this injury is, it's still an outwardly invisible injury so the optics of Mariota sitting out this must-win game and clapping on the sidelines are going to burn a lot of his goodwill imo. I really like the guy but I'm a little shocked at how many fans were still 100% behind him before this game.

The guy practiced on Thursday and Friday. Then all of a sudden he’s one hit away from a career ending injury and can’t go? Odd.

Very. It's definitely a strange situation because from what I can tell, most if not all of the Nashville media was saying he was going to play until all of a sudden it threatened his career.

I don’t know why there’s so much ball cupping for a fragile, very slightly above average at best QB
Because he is a nice guy and plays hard when he isn't injured. That is legitimately the only reason. That and what some people view as "untapped potential...if only he could stay healthy".
