My contention is that Mullen has one thing on Pruitt, experience. I think Mullen may have had a better first year at Tennessee due to his experience. I think Pruitt may have a higher, long term ceiling. Next year will tell me a lot. Don't expect huge improvement but if we're getting blown out by Vandy and Missouri, I'll definitely start to question that.

I agree with this. Looking at it in November/December 2017, Mullen had the higher floor, Pruitt the higher ceiling. I don’t think that’s necessarily the case anymore, but I’m not certain about that either.

Yea, I was trying to reread everything. I don’t think the culture at UF was worse than what Pruitt inherited at UT. I do think Pruitt inherited some talent, but it took some scheming to win certain games. If that makes sense.

I don't get this dumping on UT admin for anything that's happened since Pruitt was hired. What more could UT have given Pruitt to help him succeed? He has the staff he handpicked, the longer-term contracts he wanted, all the facility upgrades he requested and the nation's largest recruiting budget. He even gets a do-over on OC and a hefty budget to make the hire. Seems like he's been given the opportunity and all the resources he could want to succeed.

Who has been doing that? If you're talking about the Wal-Mart stuff I'm talking about the past. No reason to think Pruitt isn't being provided every resource he needs.

Cared enough to break out the moral equivalency strategy to imply that Ron was a piece of sh** for not wanting even a hint of pedophilia around his program and the resulting difficulties battling that on the recruiting trail, meanwhile you're in the safe and sanctimonius he sucked camp

Maybe I see sh** differently but I detect a hint of irony and a few other qualities not fully pondered

I think that sentiment originates from the last several HC selections as opposed to the other things you mentioned. Using Butch being able to get Shoop as an example, it seems that the admin is willing to play ball lower down on the org chart, but aren’t going all out to attract a proven CEO. Maybe flipping that approach (or at least giving comparable resources to a proven guy) would reverse our current tailspin. The status quo hasn’t been effective yet. JMO.

I wasn't referring to anything specific. I've seen a lot of comments about the admin on here. I've been very critical of the AD and the admin in the past, but since the house cleaning, they've really stepped up. Now it's up to the coaches and the players.
