Here Hank, with article included. Since the first 2 times didn't seem to help.
Man you guys put so many words in his mouth. Haha all he said was it was completely up to Pruitt, Pruitt knows who he wants and is really confident he will get him. Matthews clearly stated that he wasn't told who. The only thing he was trying to get across was that it was being handled. So much speculation based on absolutely nothing. You guys are morans.

It’s all relative but I have high skepticism that any decent school in the Sec (one with a historical relevance) is below any school in the Big. Imo, any Sec school can beat any Big school on any given day. MO would’ve been their champs this year.
There isn’t half as much pressure to coach in the BIG or other conferences as the SEC. it’s exactly why chip went to UCLA.

Michigan is the best team they played and they are mediocre at best. Purdue beat their brains in.

Define a program. TN can pay as much as anyone in the country, they have facilities as good as anyone in the country, and they can recruit as well as nearly any team in the country, including OSU. Team success comes and goes. A program however is more than team success. Like USC and Texas, they are top programs even when their team sucks. So is Tennessee.

Truth. We aren’t as good of a team as them right now but that’s because of terrible decision making and botched coaching hires.

Pruitt will recruit to the same level as them and as he does, our team will improve as well.

They literally have nothing to offer that we don’t have except a culture of allowing assistant coaches to beat their wives.

And another point to their detriment; OSU is in, well, Ohio.

I’m trying to figure out how UT is worse of a program and so much harder to recruit to than UF, but somehow on the same level as Ohio State.

Transitive theory goes like this.

Purdue beat OSU
Auburn demolished Purdue
TN beat Auburn

ND/OSU Beat Mich
UF throttled Mich
MO beat UF

Im aware it doesn’t work that way but Imo the Big is trash and Cum’s success came when he dipped into the south and plucked top talent to go along with his talent as a coach. His replacement will probably have some immediate success, but a drop is imminent.

UT has been trash and it started with Fulmer and has been one terrible hire after the next. I believe Pruitt knows what a good program looks like just waiting to see if he can build it

Ok. If the team is better that means the program is better. Got it. Washington state is a better program than half the SEC. UCF is also a better program than any school in the country other than Bama because they’re undefeated. Got it.

You can try and dance around it all you want but Ohio State is by far a better program than Tennessee. Not even sure why it’s a discussion

Alabama, Georgia, Florida, FSU, texas, Clemson,LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Ohio state, are 100% better programs than Tn. I think auburn, texas Am, Michigan, etc are debatable.

Seriously though, that doug matthews thing was like he was trying to talk directly to Kingston vol to let him know that Pruitt had it under control. Hahaha. Trying to figure out which OC matthews was talking about when he clearly stated he wasn't given a name is about as useful as punching a wall. And whoever claimed he said that the coach had sec experience may need help. I just don't even understand how this conversation has been going on this long based on just hearing what you want to hear instead of the actual word that were said.

Ebbs and flows. Right now that statement is true for some of those programs. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s Bama fans were saying “We have a long way to go to catch Tennessee.”

See, posts like this, coupled with your opinion of the staff makes me question if you're really a Tennessee fan, or merely an employee.

Didn’t the SEC have a losing record vs the B10 just last year?

I mean what he said isn’t exactly wrong, assuming he’s talking currently and not historically. Some are debatable
